some days ago ,for the third time in the last four years , a truck containing 27000 liters dangrous chemical products fell into the dam of Sine City (Aka sanandaj) in Eastern Kurdistan in Iran.
2 years ago also a very dangrous chemical product named M.T.B.E fell into dam of the Sine that made a lot of news in scientific magazines in the world , some had suggested not using the dams water at all any more not even for washing proposes and find another source for water , because those chemical products can cause cancer and even cause gentic diseases in the future generation of the kurds , well but peopel still use the same water.
let not forget Iranian Kurdistan was also Chemically Bombed by Saddam Hosseyn during the Iran-Iraq war.
Acording to the statistics Iranian Kurdistan has the highest rate of cancer in the Iran , it seems everything is helping peopel to get cancer . (more…)

Monday, searching a tesbi (yeah I was seized with a desire to replace the one I broke some years ago) I moved naturally towards the Centre culturel Anatolia, firstly because it is not far, and secundly because I waited from Turks quick and immediately useful informations on where I could find tesbis, while asking to Kurds would have provoked a general meeting with warm debates about the places where to find (and especially not find) them, and at the end : “Hey, wait a bit, I will bring you one when I go to the country” or “I will ask to X or Y to ask to his cousin…” OK, thanx people. According to the New Anatolian, the new “Büyük Turan Partisi” (Party of the great Turan) has an ass-kicking programme. It looks actually so mad that I went to check on their turkish website just to be sure that it had not been invented by a bored journalist of TNA. Rather luckily, it had not!

A thousand-year prison sentence will be given to Abdullah Ocalan – head of terrorist group the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK). However, he can get a reduction of one year for each terrorist he denounces.

Here there is hope for the “imprisoned kurdish leader”: considering he already denounced all HADEP members at his trial in 1999, asked some guerrillas to surrender as a “good will” proof to his new turkish friend, and gave indication about the Dersim Guerrillas, Apo can’t be very far from freedom.

The court of Silêmanî condemned seven men for the assassination of Kemalê Sor aka Kemal Shahin, a former member of the PKK, who fled the Party and founded a political party for Western Kurds : 2 facts that were considered as a crime by the PKK and were a reason to register his name in the Black List.

One of the stakes in the relations between the federal Government of Kurdistan and Baghdad is the management and the provision of the oil incomes.

The Iraqi Constitution, adopted by referendum on 2005 15th December stipulates that all the incomes of oilfields existing in Kurdistan will be for Baghdad, while oilfields discovered after the adoption of this Constitution will be entirely for the Kurdish region.

Two dissidents, among them one historical figure of the PKK, have died in a bomb attack in South Kurdistan’s city of Suleymanye.

Both of them were member of the new PWDK, created by Osman Öcalan and Nizamettin Tas after they had to leave “precipitaly” the main camp of the PKK in 2004…looks like Mustafa Karayilan is still rather pissed off…But of course, officialy there is no internal repression in PKK, and you can totally leave it when you want.
