first because i live with sorani people - so i live in the world of sorani language and second - kurmandji is too difficult. and third - i love sorani writting and i am proud i am able to read and write - specially in front of the fact that 4 years ago i even didnt know that something like sorani exists in the world.

by the way - i have little job for sorani speakers. from that video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6A7bNzz9wg&list=PLEFA7145DB0236F5E&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&hd=1

change this headache latin writting to sorani one. i can try to do that - but i am not sure about some parts of the text.

that's cool. you should read sorani poetry :)

zor zor supas - now it looks reasonable :D .

i am trying to read poetry, but its difficult (in any language), but three years ago i get one poem, which started with the words:
له‌ ژێر ئاسمانی شینا،
له‌ پاڵ لووتکه‌ی به‌فرینا

it was my first attempt to read anything - and i remember how hard it was for me - when i read it now - oh, much better :D
the same as i used to watch "Gardaluul" three years ago - i didnt understand even one word - except 'basha" - when i watch it now - again - much better. (i have a pic with mlazm Muhshin and the other guy from that movie, i took when i was in Suly :D )

Definately Mydani Azadi, in the afternoon, when people were there, but I liked also walk on the streets - specially Salim. Of course the top of Goyzha and azmar were cool as well.
you know - i was only 4 days there, so i had to use the time as much as possible. I got to know Nasik Xan and the professor from Slemanyi University (He is the language teacher), he supported demonstration as well. Next time i will try to meet some more famous people, maybe i will be able to go to the place where they are making the movie "Gardaluul" - if they will start the fourth part (the third part is going to be completed at the end of this year.
But it was one place that i completly hate - the emigration office, where i extended my visa  (the one which is at the back side of passport office) - horrible place.

ok, its time to take a book and learn a bit.

by the way - after the word "if" (agar) - which form of the verb should i use - in present and past, for example - "if i can"(present) and "if i could" (past). and how to say - "three years ago i chose to be kurdish" - coz i am not sure if i translate it correctly (specially i am not sure about the form of verb "to be" in that sentence).

well so much for azadi.. now it has become maydani koylayati :S and yeh those government offices is torture..
by the way - after the word "if" (agar) - which form of the verb should i use - in present and past, for example - "if i can"(present) and "if i could" (past). and how to say - "three years ago i chose to be kurdish" - coz i am not sure if i translate it correctly (specially i am not sure about the form of verb "to be" in that sentence).

well after agar comes a type of verb we call in Kurdish "danani" which has both past and present... the danani contains the "bi" affix.... can= twanin (twani is stem twan is root), for present the rule is like this bi+verb root+pronoun so bi+twan+im .... agar bitwanim= If I can ... but for the past we say bi+verb stem+aye ... and put the subject pronoun after "bi" if transitive.. and if intransitive after the verb stem... so agar bimtwaniyaye = If I could :) and actually it is has a lot of other things associated to it, but don't want to confuse you.. there is a reason for all of this but If I explain you might never come back to learn :D so just take it from here if you have any other verb or rule just ask me..

as for the sentence, three years ago = سێ ساڵ له‌مه‌وبه‌ر or سێ ساڵ له‌مه‌وپێش I chose to be Kurdish, you could say ئه‌وه‌م هه‌ڵبژارد که‌ کورد بم however this is really not nice and kinda awkward it is better to say I decided to be Kurdish = بڕیارم دا که‌ کورد بم so se sall lemew pesh biryarim da ke kurd bim ( most times we drop the ke که‌) :)

dont scare me... What a lot of other things associated? - and yes - here we have few little problems. first - i didnt meet that form of the verb before - "bimtwaniyaye" - (as btwanim is familiar to me, i know this form its called subjunctive right?) - i checked in one book and i found that form - its treated like past conditional, but in two kinds, first which you mentioned and second which is formed - for example for "hatn" - 'hatbam" - i have no idea why its two of them, coz the book didnt expalin when i should use the first one and when the second one. honstly the form "bimtwaniyaye" is enough headache, so if you estimate that i dont have to know about the other one - it would be great (i will learn later, when i will be able to speak a little bit at least). Its also nice that i know what is "danani" - as a take a look at my 6th class book, i think i will need words like that (to know what they mean).
another step is - 'If i can go" - "agar btwanim ..?.. (brom?)"

second - for "three years ago' i always used - "se sali rabrduu" (i think its more easy, and i hope its correct), but i can get use to "lemew pesh" - (lemewbar is the same?) and third - "decide" is biryar dan according to one of my dictionary and biryar deka - WTF? and what about biryar kirdn - is anything like that(logically should be)? at least i was right about the form "to be" - i guess it should be "bm", so i guess correct.

when i look at my 6th class book i came to conclusion that i should have bougth 4th class - or less...
but no worries - if i learned english - i will learn sorani as well. but for english i had proper books, teachers and lessons.....

interresting how you make short sentenses like this. (kurmanci: wí bi min ra got - he said to me / min bi wí ra got - i said to him, where "got" is from persian)

hey man what does that ra stand for ? like the persian +ra for objects?

its ra or re,
there are many combinations, with no equals in english  :
bi...re, bére - to,with example: bi te re got - said to you.
bi...ve, bi písté wí ve ket - he/she/it hanged on his collar - and sentence i cant explain in english.
ji...re, jére - for. ex: ji te re - for you
ji...ve, jéve - ex: jéve xuya nake - its not visible from/to him (same root with soraní "le....ewe")
ji...(de), jéde - ex: jéde ket - its fallen from it
li...(de), = in
di...de, déde = inside
di...re, dére, ex: dére chú - its poked to it. di vé ré re diche - "he/she/it" goes on this way.
di...ve, déve, di zivistané ve derket - cant explain
(in our herém we use da, va, ra instead og de, ve, re)

in zazaki -ra means "for", -ré means "from" and -da means "in" and stands alone, not with other parts like kurmanci.

what means "like this" and "like that" in soraní? (or "such as this, such as that")

and kaka ocmentos asked me, why i chose sorani ... i think now he knows why :D

"like this" and "like that' in sorani - you mean to translate it into sorani? as for me it would be "wakuu eme", "wakuu ewe" - but its only guess

no i think kurmancí is easier :D

wekú ewe and wekú eme, i thought aslo this. (kurmancí: wek vé/ví, wek wé/wí) but i meant "such" or the more shortened version of this. (kurmancí: weha/wisa, my dialect: veng, weng)

i think for "such" sorani will use just "eme", "ewe".

Kurmandji is beutiful, specially in songs and specially in rap :D - but in fast rap its not possible to sing together with the singer even if you have the text in front of your eyes. Not you, kaka gyan - i am talking about people who wasnt born as Kurmandji Kurds :D . Specially i am talking about that song, which is absolutely my favourite, but some parts are out of my human possibilities to repeat:
