Strangely, the situation is quite similar, concerning the casus belli, to the current Israeli attack against Lebanon : the former country, for it shelters Hebollah militias which attacked Israël, is now obliged to state in which camp it places itself.
If we only regard International rules, it is quite impossible to tolerate armed groups leading raids from its own soil against a neighbored country, without being considered as directly responsible and facing reprisals.
It is exactly the same problem in Southern Kurdistan. As so long as the PKK stays in Quandil Mountains and leads attacks in Turkey, de facto, the Region of Kurdistan, and then Iraq, could be officially considered as patronizing acts of war against its northern neighbours.
Soon or late, Lebanon will be obliged to adopt a clear position, against or the Hezbollah. But what will happen for Hewlêr ? The Israeli-Lebanese case is definitively an encouragement for a Turkish invasion.
Pilling your compare PKK and Hezbollah is same like Turkish propaganda and anti Kurds attitude. I am not PKK member, neither I follow thire policy , but I would never accept nor allow such propaganda against PKK.
Hezbollah Aim simply is destruction of of Israel with is all citizen and killing of enier Jews in this planet Jews, (you could at least compare Turkey with Hezbollah, as turkey one most fascist and un democratic country on earth)Pkk however is fighting politically and military against this oppressive and fasit regime, who denies very basic right of any human, which is called identity, however Israel with this tiny land it is recognize its Arabs citizen, and Arabic is second official language of Israel, Israel is most democratic country in reign, Pkk recognize Turkey as country from day of its foundation and have no intention of destruction of Turks and Turkey!! PKK have full respect and policy of brotherhood in between Kurds and Turks
I do accept based current poor international law turkey may gain right to attacked PKK in southern part, I believe this have to happen once for all, I believe it will rise Kurdish nation, and will cut of Turkey from Sivas, they not fool they talk big!!! As turks always do, is Mongolian way !!this is not Cyprus 1974, this snake have four head,, it will bite them in heart t of turkey!!! they know that, not to mention Kurdish question and whole middle east border will come to question , because Kurdish question is no longer in hand Turkey, Turkey try play in low level , it doesn’t want much of international attention on Kurds.
Southern Kurdistan have no future what so ever with out solving Northern part, it can not be no men lands or in treat Turkey day and night, you know if wasn’t turkey, southern Kurdistan was independent 60 years ago, the only key is northern Kurdistan is key to future of Kurdistan , Turks are obstacle of existence of Kurds, Turkish mentality way behind any humans thinking!!! they already said even Kurdistan declared in planet MARS, they wouldn’t accept it, and it may never current climate help any change of heart of Turks, Turks always prefer Mongolian way to wipeouts Kurds, and Kurds should consider that once as they did during Holago Kahn the Mongolian, they shall give Turkey lesson, some times force is only language of understanding when you are facing barbarian.
I agree, the situation is so simmilar … I hope Turkey never dare to attack , or at least KRG be smart enough… lebanon governt couldnt defeat hizzbollah because hizbollah has power in parilament of Lebanon, and hizbollah has BIG support from Iran and Syria
PKK doesnt have support from anybody, so KRG can defeat them easily, but If I was KRG, I would ask USA to give me more Weapon …[I wouldnt use the weapon against PKK but just to make Kurdistan more powerfull]

Call it whatever you like, I really don’t believe there will ever be a place called “Northern Kurdistan”. This is a pipe dream, and it’s best to concentrate your efforts and hopes on some semblance of “home” in “Southern Kurdistan”- something Kurds pretty much fell ass-backwards into… Take what you now have- a chance to create a state from the ashes of Iraq, be thankful for it, stop the mouth-watering for Turkish land. Turkey isn’t Iraq, and no such opportunity of Turkish weakness will ever present itself for Kurds to exploit, as in Iraq.

Your comparison of modern Republic of Turkey with Ottoman Empire is rather hollow. There’s a snowball’s chance in hell of any kind of land-grabbing ever happening again to Turkey.
