I just watched the Turkish television where Erdogan and his mafia gang were smiling and talking about how relieved they are and then of course they had a go at PKK. So somebody can tell me now, what this Hunger Strikes brought to the Kurds? This Hunger strike mobilized so many parts of this world, the whole media had a focus on this topic, and then yo chuck everything on the ground. I tell you what. As long as "our leaders" of the BDP and others always and always do what a man, who is for 13 years in prison and who have more than likely mental issues says , we won't be successful. i always said it, öcalan has lost his position and pkk/bdp have to becomes independent from his person. i agree with you and anthea, the state will misuse öcalan whenever they need him, but i belive some high persons inside pkk still insist the old communist ideolgie and dont want a change.

Keko you are missing the point here . Just think for a second and see how is calling off the hunger strike benefit the kurdish cause and what did we accomplish by ocalan calling it off ? If PKK fight he calls for cease fire , If Kurds demonstrate he ask them to stop , if kurds go on hunger strike he ask them to stop .He (hz Apo) even went as far as asking individuals to surrender to turkey after his arrest and those who refused were killed by PKK . I used to have lots of respect for him , but after his arrest he turned from a lion to a mouse .

I get it that he is in jail and does not have much choice , but why do we the idiots follow what he says , why so much fear from him ? Ocalan did not ask people to start a hunger strike so I do not understand why it has been stopped

We are ALL aware that for the first time in YEARS and YEARS world leaders were starting to take an interest in Kurds and the media was putting out information

Bakur is the key to Kurdish freedom and unity but if bakur becomes free they have to remember majority of Kurds want freedom, democracy and no neighbours moving in. It's our country mother fu****.
