له‌و شه‌ڕه‌دا شێخ مه‌حمود به‌برینداری‌ له‌پاڵ ‌به‌رده‌قاره‌ماندا ده‌ستگیركرا و له‌مانگی‌ ته‌مموزی‌ هه‌مان ساڵدا بڕیاری ‌له‌سێداره‌دانی‌ درا، به‌ڵام له‌ژێر گوشاری‌ ڕایگشتی و له‌ترسی ‌به‌رپابوونی ‌شۆڕشێكی ‌گه‌وره‌ی‌ كورد، ئه‌و حوكمه‌ گۆڕا به‌حوكمی‌ (10) ساڵ زیندانی و شێخ مه‌حمودیان دوورخسته‌وه‌ بۆ هیندستان.

شێخ مه‌حمودی حه‌فید، ڕۆژی (9/10/1956) له‌ یه‌كێك له‌ نه‌خۆشخانه‌كانی به‌غداد كۆچی دوایی كرد و ته‌رمه‌كه‌ی به‌ڕێزێكی زۆره‌وه‌ له‌ناو ئاپۆڕه‌ی خه‌ڵكانی دڵسوزی شێخی نه‌مر و كورد و كوردستان له‌ ته‌نیشت گۆڕی كاك ئه‌حمه‌دی شێخ له‌مزگه‌وتی گه‌وره‌ی سلێمانی به‌خاك سپێردرا.

Berde Qareman battle happened in 1919 against the British forces.

in the battle 48 Peshemrga were martyred and 120 were captured prisoners.

The british forces backed by heavy artillery, jets and under the commander of general Frayzer in Bazyan attacked Shekh Mahmod forces.

Shekh Mahmod was captured in the battle wounded laying under a tree, and in the same year his execution was ordered but it was halted due to the public anger and the brits were fearing an uprising Thus his sentence was altered to 10 years imprisonment in India.

Shekh Mahmod on the 9/10/1956 died in a hospital in Baghdad, his body was buried next to Kak Ahmedi Shek in Sulaimani's great mosque.

^^ that is my hometonw hero, he use to give the iraqi army hell and they use to shake when his name was mentioned, but he was killed in an ambush RIP my hero.

Always humble, always helping and always doing the best he could do for his area. He was the regional leader of the PKK forces in Botan and Botan became the most important place for PKK in the years during the total war. He was later elected as a member of the PKK committe, but despite that fact, he was always ready to go into open battle and take up the rifle and fight on the front line. He was never too ''good'' to do what he had to. He died in open combat with turkish forces.

Who was Simko Serhildan



Macid Kawiyan known by his nickname as Simko Serhildan was the second-in-command of the East Kurdistan Forces (HRK), leading the guerrilla forces amid the offensives launched by Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) on Qendil Mountains in summer 2011.

Macid Kawiyan was born in Bane city of East Kurdistan. Similar to many Kurdish youth he became connected to Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in 1999 following the international conspiracy against the Kurds which led to the abduction of Kurdish national leader Abdullah Ocalan.

After four years of clandestine work in Bane he leaves his home town along with his friends to join the guerrilla forces of the PKK. Completing his ideological, political and military trainings, Simko Serhildan sets out to carry out his historical missions in Botan, Dersim and other parts of North Kurdistan fighting the colonial army of Turkey.

Displaying his outstanding ability in guerrilla struggle he became a great commander and led the first guerrilla units to the Black Sea. Consequently he came back to Qendil Mountains where he joined the guerrillas of Kurdistan’s Free Life Party (PJAK), struggling against the colonial rule of Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) launched a large scale offensive on the positions of Kurdish guerrillas in Qendil Mountains last summer in an attempt to drive PJAK guerrillas out of Qendil and dominate the entire region. The IRGC military operations were met with historic resistance of Kurdish guerrillas directed by commander Simko.

Commander Simko, who had the experiences of struggling against one of the most powerful armies and a NATO member, had a substantial role in Qendil resistance which led to defeat of IRGC and its consequent retreat from the battle field.

In the battle of 2011 which come to be known as the Epic of Qendil hundreds of Revolution Guards were killed and many others wounded. Nineteen Kurdish guerrillas also lost their lives one of whom was the commander Simko.

Simko Serhildan was one of the great commanders of Kurdish resistance against colonialism that the history of exploited people shall always remember, honour and venerate. As long as heroes such as him appear in the history, colonialism and exploitation are destined to fail.

Great guys. I know I critisize PKK a lot for their idiology, but I have the most respect for those who risk their lives in the mountains for what they believe in.

Mazlum Dogan. Born in Xarpet/Elaziz. Joined PKK in late 1970's. Around the same time he was arrested. He was in jail from 1979 to 1982 where he and other prisoners were subjected to the worst forms of torture. At court he was standing face to face with judges who said that Kurd, Kurdistan and Kurdish was non existant, but yet he managed to give the court an insight into Kurdish history. There is a story about Mazlum Dogan;

Mazlum Dogan was being interrogated and tortured at the same time. The officer who was torturing and interrogating Mazlum Dogan stopped for a while. Realizing that he could not get any information out of Mazlum Dogan he says;

Officer: Dont you know that the big fish always will eat the small fish?

Mazlum Dogan: Dont you know that the little fish can get stucked in the big fish's throat?
