Tigris and euphartes rivres

PostAuthor: Rando » Mon Jul 02, 2012 5:46 pm

I got some questions about these 2 rivers (Tigris and euphartes).
how deep and wide are they?
can they be used like the Danube river in europe (trade and transport)?

these are maybe dumb questions. but to be honest ive never seen those rives in real life..

I've seen the Tigris river in real life in Baghdad, its not really wide nor that deep. Atleast from where I saw it.

Tigris and Euphrates are dying rivers and their width and depth have gone down in the last 20 years due to multiple dams that turkey built and continue to built on these two rivers . I know for a fact that tigris river is no good for tranport because there are area that is too shallow to the point that you can cross river walking .

You could probably swim across it in a short amount of time. Quite a long time since I've seen it, but yeh I remember it vividly.
