Kak talsor, isn't ''Zêtun'' also another way to spell ''olives''? And for ''Apple'' it can be spelled ''Sêw'' too?

@Kubilay, the red apples made me think of another kind of Red Apple.

if you think about the name "sorani", that "sor" here means "red" - i dont think so, and also "ani" seperate doesnt mean anything - but i dont know. if you need the explanation of language names, my brothers probabaly will make it clear.

i can only say about "kurdan" - its the plural form of "kurd" (the enclitic "an" is for plural).

-an is for plural but can also refer to group of population, like -ler/-lar in turkish. turkish has also from influence from iranian language, like "azerî" and "türkî diller" and can mean -ish in english, as in english.

i dont know with gorani or sorani, but exempel of an kurdish tribe: Reshiyan and refers to the whole population of Reshî(blacks/blakish) and -an to make it plural. Reshiyanî will mean person who comes from that tribe.

Now I translate in Erdelanî (Sine:soranî):

Figs : hencîr هه نجیر
Dates : xurma خورما
Olives : zeîtun زه یتون
Green Apples : sêf sewz سیف سه وز or some people use : شه که ره سیو !
Red Apples : sêfe sure

Gorani and Sorani : soran and goran are names , and "î" at the end of it make it adjective .means related to soran .
