Piling you are an expert - as a child my friend lived in a town that was surrounded by troops - most of the people in the town died from hunger, thirst and terrible diseases - his brothers and sisters all died - as an adult he still cannot talk about it though many people have wanted his story so that they could write about it

Do you know what the town was called - it must of happened 40 years ago - possibly longer

Thank you for the video - I read the book years ago :ymapplause:

E M Forster has long been considered one of the best and most grammatically correct English writers of all time - I always made my most advanced students read him ;;)

Concerning English grammar, I have a question. As every French students in English language I have learnt to say I DO you DO/she he DOES, etc.

But this week, by reading George Eliot and Dickens I have read some sentences like he do not, / she don't.

Was it some mistakes in my kindle or there was an old rule of grammar when that form was correct ?

You are perfectly correct - I do / you do / he does / she does / it does - so what you saw was in all likelihood a printing error - contractions such as don't should only appear as a quote within speech marks - otherwise one should write do not

BDP dilemma: attacking Barzani to support a process initiated by Öcalan & Erdogan and that they accepted obediently?
