Washington rejects proclamation of south Kurdistan state

WASHINGTON/ERBIL, — A leading Kurdish member disclosed Monday that the US administration informed Iraq's Kurdistan region president Massoud Barzani that "alongside Turkey, the US will not support the proclamation of a Kurdish state," Saudi's Al-Sharq al-Awsat daily reported.

In a report published on Monday, it noted the US administration recommended that the Kurds should engage in dialogue with Iraqi parties and normalize relations to protect the democratic experiment in Iraq.

The unknown source added that the US had informed Barzani two weeks ago that he should not depend on US and Turkish support to form the Kurdish state, because the "US does not support moves aimed at separating from Iraq."

It's from an arabic site, so i don't know just how true it is. But i would'nt be surprised, if this was the case. Americans are so well known for stabbing people in the back.

It's quite sad to see the view on kurds through the american goverment. Iraqis are the ones that hate them, while we did everything to make them feel welcome in Kurdistan. And this is the thanks they give us. Ignorant assholes, that's what they are. All a bunch of turkish slaves.

But i want to point out that a kurdish state will only emerge as a result of kurdish determination of creating it and nothing else. When we build a strong economy, good military and establish diplomatic ties with all the countries then our chances of independence will grow thousandfold. South Kurdistan is in fact already functioning as an independent state, its just the politics that is hindering the proclamation of it. Its just as Taiwan is still seen as part of China even if its 100 % independent. independence will emerge when kurds are strong enough and with the oil that dream is becomming reality in the next few years and at most in the next decade.

South kurdistan could declare independence tomorow, it only has to be able to protect itself and be economically sufficent. We are lacking the heavv weapons needed to protect our new state and we might need to gamble and hope for recognition so that we will be able to buy weapons.

We just need to hurry up, Maliki sagbab is arming his forces, faster than than we would had expected. We can't remain a part of Iraq for more than two years, and probably even less.

Dont be naive no country in the world support kurdistan, USA are busy licking mongolian balls, but that might change in the future when Mongolian Turkey will be forced to back down and silently accept kurdish state, remember we sit on oil the thing americans invaded Iraq for in the first place.

Oh, but I agree with everyone we need to gain independance ourself even if that means losing thousands of lives again, this is what we live for. Either we do it now by force or wait until educated youth rise up ( Similar to what the jews did).
