The texts are not exactly the same, you liar! . though for now i have to leave at evening i will reply to both you and Zordere.

But remember that 70% of Kurdish is not persian. but +95% of Kurdish is Aryan (Iranic.) This is Zazaki which has got a lot of central Asian (Turkic) and non-Iranic words.

C ya leter.

Serd wrote:I see some people are mixing apples and bananas. Kurmanci and Sorani are not very different from each other. Educated Kurmanci and Sorani speakers can understand each others dialects. However, Zazaki and Gorani are separate languages, and there is absolutely no way that a Kurmanci or Sorani speaker can understand a Zazaki speaker, or vice versa.

From time to time, I hear people are talking about imposing a so-called "Standard Kurdish" language (a mixture of Sorani/Kurmanci) on others. Well actually in 2002, I heard PKK will press for extermination of Zazaki language. I don't know if they still plan to do that. Anyway, their power is not enough to do that.

By the way, I found a nice link about "Genealogical tree of Iranian languages" from Frankfurt University. Take a look:
http://titus.fkidg1.uni-frankfurt.de/di ... anstam.htm

And what is your source that the PKK wants to destroy Zazaki? Is this why they invite Zazaki artists on Roj TV? Why Jamo and Serd don't react to my earlier post? Too much to handle?

About that standard language thing.. that's the reason why the Zaza movement was founded. Because most people like you saw themselves as Kurds in the past..

Gorani influenced Sorani grammar. And in regions where Zaza's and Kurmanci speaking people live close together, they can understand eachother.

zurderer wrote:and, I repeat, A turk can understand uygur.with difficulty but still understand. Also comparing an Uygur turk with turkey turk is ridiculous. Look at the distance, look at the lost of connection at last 1000 years.

You won't understand Ughur.. nor other Turkish dialects in Central-Asia. Someone who speaks Kurmanci can understand Zaza too with difficulty... Depends on where he is coming from. It's now clear that you are not pro-Kurdish, but anti.

I doubt you know much "Zaza's". Or you must live outside Turkey. The so-called Turkish politician Sadet Karabulut sees herself as a Kurd (but also Alevi/Turk).. while she is from a Zaza region.

About the ethnic classification: This is not about "the truth". It's about political developments. Like Leezenberg says:

[quote]The main thesis of this paper may be summarized as follows: the Gorani like elements in Central Kurdish can be accounted for without any appeal to dramatic events such as a massive language shift among entire groups of Gorani speakers. The available historical evidence, and the kind of borrowings involved (primarily lexical and morphological), fit in well with an account in terms of prestige borrowing over a extended period of time.

Next, we must be careful not to confuse linguistic reconstructions with postulated ethnohistorical developments. There is no historical evidence for anything like a homogeneous Gorani stratum in the population overrun by a clearly identifiable influx of ’real’ Kurds, nor does the linguistic evidence give any reason to think so. However, migrations (some of which are attested) of individuals, of tribes, and of worldly and spiritual leaders have been taking place throughout the past centuries, and undoubtedly various cases of language shift did occur. The picture is far from clear, but it suggests that the phenomenon of language contact in dealing with Kurdish dialects deserves more attention than it has received thus far.

Third, it seems useful to distinguish an ethnic sense of the expression ’Kurdish dialect’ from the purely linguistic sense. What is a Kurdish dialect in the former sense is a matter of ethnic affiliation that may well change over time; what is a Kurdish dialect in the second sense is a matter of linguistic classification and reconstruction. Thus, Zaza and Gorani are (at present) Kurdish dialects in the former sense but not in the latter.

The predominant ethnic affiliation of individual members of any of these dialect groups, or even the ethnic identity of part or whole of those groups themselves develops in a dialectic interplay with social and political events, and is thus inherently instable. We have seen some cases (the Karake
The suppression of ethnic cultures and minority religious groups in attempting to forge a modern nation were not unique to Turkey but occurred in very similar ways in its European neighbours - Bruinessen.

http://www.biliwal.com/GoogleTap_SG_post_t_1090.html I think, you know turkish. This is an uygur page. Go and look at it, and read it one hour. than tell me, you dont understand much of that page.

well, now, do I understand it or not?(You dont need to be a turkish langauge master for to understand it.)

is this make me anti-kurdish? go and read. I am not even talking about azeri or turkmen langauge.(what do think about distance?)

I am waiting for your answer.

I doubt you know much "Zaza's". Or you must live outside Turkey. The so-called Turkish politician Sadet Karabulut sees herself as a Kurd (but also Alevi/Turk).. while she is from a Zaza region.

I am living at istanbul. My knowledge comes from zazas. They dont say I am kurds. Infact, most of the turks have no idea about zazas. Until these guys, I dont know zazas too.

sorry but that is realy absurd, so If zazas one day decide, they love armenians more than kurds, zaza langauge would become a dialect of armenian? affiliation thing is absurd. we are talking about linguistic clasification, not politic or cultural affiliation.

So we will see if because of the social and political events, Zaza nationalism will be succesfull. A lot of Turks I see on the internet support this.. Like Zurderer..

so tell me, how did this turks learn who are zazas? hımmmmm? In Turkey, people see everyone who comes from eastern turkey as kurds.(Even some turks.) So,It looks like zazas are talking about their ethnicity.

I should also say, I dont see any difference between turkish, kurdish or zaza nationalism. If turks have no right to call kurds as turks, kurds have no right to call zazas as kurds too.

You are such a great Dutch thinker. I cannot deal such a genius  . Well, you are so biased. I can see it clearly in your posts here in this forum. So, there is no need to have a real discussion with you.

And in regions where Zaza's and Kurmanci speaking people live close together, they can understand eachother.

Now you are really lying. I live close to Kurmanci speaking people and I do not understand anything. My two aunts live in the Diyarbakir city centre, and they do not understand Kurmanci either.

It is not important what I see myself in the past. I become a Zaza nationalist after I left Turkey and contact to Zaza nationalist. And, my experiences here have really deepened my nationalist ideas.

Let me give you a little piece of inside information:

The Soranî and Kurmancî introductions were written to look as similar as possible - to show: these are the same - just dialects...

Where the Zazakî introduction was written DIFFERENTLY - including: other information (for example the third line saying: "200 ra zêde zıwan tede nusiyeno" - instead of saying the same as the Kurmancî and Soranî say in the third line: "Armanc, komkirina hemû zanyariyên mirov e.")

BUT why? Well it`s VERY simple: Zazaistan'ists make a point of being "different" from other Kurds... They try their best to create an indentity - but you will fail...

SO - let me write down the Kurmancî for this line:

Zazakî: "200 ra zêde zıwan tede nusiyeno"

Kurmancî: "200 re zêde ziman têde nivîsîne"

Now you can tell me that those are two alien languages...

'zsabimban sok kicsit alma van' (Hungarian)

'cebimde cok kucuk elma var' (Turkish.) :D

I think we need more complex zaza and kurdish sentence for compare this two langauge.

First of all: It's "Zazaî and Kurmancî" not "Zaza and Kurdish"...

And secondly - Zazakî and Kurmancî can be compared to Uzbek and Turkish...

This Zordere guy is really a hepo; He says because Kurds dont consider themselves as Turks, then Zazas should hate Kurds!!!
Look at this brain!

He simply does not get that there is a guge difference between Zazaki and Kurrmanji on one side and non-indo-european, non-Indo-Iranian, non-Iranian non-west Iranian, Non-northwest Iranin Turkish on the other side...!!

Moreover I am really surprised how to reply millions of nonsense comming from zordere, he does not talk with evidence. Just keeps saying no it is not no it is not. But I think one more time i try to show how unreaistic he is....

So finally you accepted that there is not a single Turkish language but a Turkic language family?! Good.
Secondly, language families are not part of any other language families!

Turkic has no genetical relationship with Korean and Japanese. nor it is anymore a branch of a ural-altaic language family. This wrong assumptions has long been refuted as being untue!

Unnatural sentence, very unnatural, it shows how selective it is!

let alone how much acedemical base it has, since turkish 'ceb' is actually a Semitic loanword!!!

It does not matter how much through selective words you can show similarities or differences. That fact remains is that:

1) the two language are closely linked
2)linguistic differences does not confirm ethnic distiontion. Ethnicity is an complex issue. ethnicity is defined by identity, history, culture, race. It also cannot be ''produced''. It shapes naturally and by itself, during long time.

Zaza tribes speaking a different vernacular being refered to as either a separate language or as an identity, still the ethnic identity of Zazas remains as what their forefathers were known with.: ''The Kurdish inhabitants of Anatolia''.
