Emirates airline to begin its flights to Kurdistan tomorrow
ERBIL, September 16 (AKnews) – UAE’s Emirates airline will launch flights officially to Erbil International Airport (EIA) tomorrow.
The launching of flights to Erbil will open the first route for the Dubai-based airliner to the semi-autonomous Kurdish region, and third in Iraq.
Talar Fayaq, Director of EIA, said: "The first official Emirates airline plane from Dubai will touch down in Erbil International Airport tomorrow at around 10:45 am”
The airline will operate four flights per week to Erbil. The flights will be on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Fayaq believed that the flights between Erbil and Dubai will be increased to daily flights in future. The flights will be operated by airbus 300-340.
The first airline plane from Dubai arrived in Erbil in August in a test mission.
