I love the pictures from Mustafa Barzani and he also looks very good with a uniform. He was a real nationalist leader, the lion of Kurdistan, he fight all his live for Kurdistan.

He fought against the British as a follower from Mahmud Barzanji in 1919, where he was only 16 years old, after that he fought from 1931 until 1933 under his older brother Sheikh Ahmed Barzani against the Iraqi monarchy. From 1945 until 1946 he fought against the Shah as a General in the Republic Mahabad under Qazi Muhammad, and from 1958 until his death 1979 he fought as the leader in south Kurdistan against changing iraqi regimes and he established the first agreement for Kurdish autonomy.

Yes we had and have many Kurdish leaders, but he was the greatest Kurdish leader.

yes Mustafa Barzani was born to fight. He is the greatest military leader in kurdish history (atleast in my opinion).

This is so sad.

But at the same time he is such an inspiration. He could have fled to Soviet, but he choosed to stay with his people and die for his country, like a real martyr. All the jashes should learn from him.
