Wow, it looks way better now. When I was there in 2011, the building had a brown color because of all the dirt on it.

Great renovation! that hospital looked more like a prison to me. Looks pretty good now.

291 Bed hospital for Ranya

Today with attendance of 50 local and foreign companies , the design of 291 bed hospital to be constructed in Ranya was discussed.

MEPX a Lebanese company has under taken the rendering of the project.

The project will begin on the 8th of august this year.

Ministry of Health establishes High Council to ensure medicine validity in Kurdistan Region

For the benefit of the public the Kurdistan Regional Government’s Ministry of Health established Wednesday a High Council to ensure the best possible production and importation of pharmaceutical medicine into the Kurdistan Region.

The High Council’s first meeting was led by Minister of Health Dr. Rekaut Hama Rashid in which he urged those present to take on the responsibility of efficiently testing the validity of the pharmaceutical medicine imported into Kurdistan.

The validity of the medicine provided at local pharmacies was also discussed during the council’s meeting.
