German envoy admits he spread
    lies about mass rapes

It is not the first time that the German government has partaken in such misinformation. In May, Seibert's supervisor, foreign minister Annalena Baerbock, stated at a Berlin event claiming she had personally witnessed a Hamas-filmed rape

The German ambassador in Tel Aviv has revealed that he circulated manufactured Israeli propaganda in order to lend credibility to 'Israel's' disproved allegations of mass rapes by Palestinian resistance fighters during Operation al-Aqsa Flood
Last week, Seibert released a letter purported to be from an Israeli who killed himself because he was unable to cope with the pain he encountered during the Supernova event on October 7.

The false letter went viral after it was circulated by two known Israeli propagandists, Hen Mazzig (who translated it into English) and Aviva Klompas.

Mazzig asserted that the Israeli ended his life after "witnessing too many horrors, including the rape of a girl," citing that it was this trauma of not being able to save the alleged girl nearby that caused him to feel "incapable of continuing his life.”

Mazzig works for the Tel Aviv Institute, an Israeli propaganda group. Klompas, a former Israeli government speechwriter, is the CEO of another lobbying firm, Boundless 'Israel.'

Both have been particularly active in spreading 'Israel's' disproved allegations of mass rape on October 7th.

The fake suicide letter appears to have been an attempt to give additional legitimacy to a horrific propaganda story that has entirely collapsed under inspection by alternative media outlets, including The Electronic Intifada.

This newest scam fell apart when Israeli journalists attempted to follow up and interview the relatives of the alleged suicide victim.

Adam Shafir, the producer of Israeli Channel 13’s current affairs program Hatzinor posted on X Thursday that “A story that ran in recent days about a Nova survivor who saw horrors and committed suicide, did not leave a single dry eye."

Shafir revealed that after attempting to reach the family, the search "turned into an investigation" and stated that “We will reveal tonight on The Pipeline that it is a complete fake.”

Mazzig was caught red-handed and compelled to deliver a fake apology.

Without this high-profile debunking by Israeli media, there is little reason to assume the German ambassador would have admitted his participation in promoting these falsehoods.

Seibert has frequently promoted the mass rape hoax and has yet to disavow his support for it.

Seibert is a former presenter for ZDF, the German national television broadcaster. From 2010 until 2021, he was the German government's chief spokesperson.

It is not the first time that the German government partakes in such misinformation. In May, Seibert's supervisor, foreign minister Annalena Baerbock, stated at a Berlin event claiming she had personally witnessed a Hamas-filmed rape on October 7.

This was impossible since Israeli government security agencies and a UN assessment both stated that no footage of rape was found among the thousands of images and recordings taken on October 7.

When a journalist confronted the German government on Baerbock's deception, a spokeswoman slandered the reporter.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz reiterated the falsehood that Hamas fighters had recorded themselves raping Israeli women days after.

Over the previous 11 months, innumerable Israeli falsehoods have been successfully discredited, including decapitated and burnt children, a fetus ripped from the womb, and, of course, the claims about mass rapes on October 7th.

Gaza war lasted due to US support

A senior Israeli officer in the Air Force underlines that the Israeli occupation would not have been able to continue the war on Gaza without the ongoing support from the United States

An Israeli Air Force senior officer has disclosed plans to increase the production of bombs, missiles, and other munitions within the Israeli occupation, aiming to reduce the air force's reliance on foreign suppliers, particularly the United States.

Speaking to the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, the officer emphasized that without American support, the Israeli military, especially the air force, would face significant difficulties in sustaining its aggression for more than a few months.

The recommendation comes amid the Israeli occupation's growing desire to minimize its dependence on external suppliers, according to the newspaper.

This shift is driven by concerns over delays in arms shipments from the Biden administration. These delays have particularly affected the Air Force, as most of its equipment is purchased from American companies and funded through US military aid.

After these delays, the Biden administration, with Congressional approval, sent unprecedented emergency military supplies shipments worth $14 billion, in addition to the regular annual US military aid of $3.8 billion. Washington also provided an additional $500 million for Israeli air defense systems.

Haaretz drew parallels between the current situation and the Israeli occupation's experience during the 1967 war, when French President Charles de Gaulle imposed an arms embargo on "Israel", cutting off supplies of tanks, missile boats, and Mirage aircraft. At that time, the occupation shifted its reliance to the United States, which has since supplied the Israeli Air Force with all its fighter jets, as well as some bombs, missiles, and intelligence equipment.

Air Force investigating October 7 failure

The Israeli Air Force is conducting two comprehensive investigations, the officer said, noting that the first focuses on the events of October 7, during Operation al-Aqsa Flood, while the second examines the condition of the Air Force since October 8.

The officer expects the findings to lead to a fundamental shift in the Air Force's combat doctrine, including border security, force structure, operational readiness, and the protection of key Air Force assets and bases.

The officer acknowledged that Hamas' resistance managed to reach military bases near Gaza during Operation al-Aqsa Flood. Additionally, Hezbollah inflicted damage on an Israeli air force base on Mount Meron and the Sky Dew aerial surveillance system near the Golani Junction on the northern front.

He further stated that the investigations are "harsh, and there is no desire to hide or cover up" the failures of October 7.

An objective assessment will also be conducted on attacks in Lebanon, Gaza, Syria, and the assault on the port of Hodeidah in Yemen. The officer added that he does not "wish to make excuses" for what occurred during Operation al-Aqsa Flood.

The officer stressed that the Air Force, which was under the Southern Command, was not solely responsible for the "massive failure" faced by the occupation and its military as a whole.

The surprise was "substantial and comprehensive" compared to the reference scenario, with military intelligence and the internal security agency, the Shin Bet, bearing responsibility for failing to provide adequate warnings of a potential operation, even if limited to a few sites.

The officer revealed that there was a plan anticipating an operation involving "dozens of terrorists at two or three sites," with the scenario being codenamed "Palestinian Knight."
October 7 revelations

The officer disclosed that Palestinian resistance forces targeted two Israeli helicopters carrying a paratrooper unit on October 7. The helicopters were hit by ground fire and an anti-tank missile.

The unit managed to quickly evacuate the severely damaged helicopter, which later burned, with one pilot suffering a leg injury. That pilot is now the commander of an airbase.

On that day, the Israeli Air Force dropped 50,000 bombs, missiles, and shells on Gaza, with two-thirds of the attack consisting of one-ton bombs, according to the officer.

Iranian retaliation against 'Israel'

The officer also revealed that Tehran aimed to inflict significant damage on the Nevatim Air Base in southern occupied Palestine during its Operation True Promise on April 13. The base houses Israeli squadrons of F-35 fighter jets as part of the operation.

Iran also launched several surface-to-surface missiles at Mount Hermon in the far north of occupied Palestine, a move the officer described as a diversion tactic.

The officer revealed that four of the ground-to-ground missiles successfully hit their targets, including a building at Nevatim. He emphasized the critical role played by American, British, and French aircraft in intercepting the Iranian attack.

Additionally, he mentioned that Jordan and Saudi Arabia provided vital assistance through coordinated radar and warning systems in collaboration with the Israeli occupation and the three Western countries.

The officer highlighted the broader Arab and international cooperation with the Israeli occupation as the "most crucial element" in defending it. He detailed that the operation began with the launch of dozens of drones, which took approximately seven hours to reach the occupied Palestinian territories.

These were later joined by cruise missiles traveling at speeds of 500 kmh, along with several hundred ground-to-ground missiles, some of which were Shehab missiles equipped with warheads ranging from 500 to 1,000 kg.

Irked by Al Mayadeen
Netanyahu urges shutting it down

Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu questions why orders against Al Mayadeen Network in the West Bank have not been enforced yet

Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu once again called for the closure of the Al Mayadeen Network in the occupied West Bank during a government session held on Monday.

"Why are orders against Al Mayadeen in the West Bank not being enforced?" Netanyahu questioned. In response, Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi said that this falls under the authority of Security Minister Yoav Gallant.

Karhi added that he had communicated with Gallant multiple times regarding Al Mayadeen, "but it seems that he has decided not to act on this matter, even though he could declare it a terrorist organization," he said, adding that the failure to do so poses a danger to "Israel".

Netanyahu's deputy, Avital Sompolinsky, pointed out that it is not possible to shut down Al Mayadeen in the West Bank under the law, as it does not apply in that area, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Israeli military's Central Command.

Netanyahu requested "answers at the next meeting as to why the Security Minister has not closed Al Mayadeen in the West Bank," adding, "It must be shut down."

The incitement against the network is not limited to political officials, as the Israeli Channel 14 prepared a report on Al Mayadeen, in which it expressed its fear of the channel’s media activity in the West Bank, inciting the renewal of its ban and expressing particular displeasure with the interview with the commander of the Tulkarm Brigade in the al-Quds Brigades, Abu Shujaa, before he was assassinated a couple of days later.

Channel 14 also noted that Abu Shujaa was keen to thank the chairman of the Al Mayadeen Network, Ghassan Ben Jeddou, and reminded viewers of what Ben Jeddou said in November, shortly after the first ban on the channel in occupied Palestine: "We are part of the Resistance."

The Israeli channel continued its incitement against Al Mayadeen, urging Karhi to renew the channel's ban after the current 45-day ban expires, ensuring that it "does not return to broadcasting, as has happened twice since the beginning of the war [on Gaza]."

The Israeli government renewed the ban on Al Mayadeen in August, a decision first issued in November 2023, which also included the seizure of its equipment and the blocking of its websites, at Karhi’s request.

The ban followed a joint statement by Gallant and Karhi, attributing the ban to the claim that Al Mayadeen harms "Israel's security".

These Israeli measures against Al Mayadeen come as it continues to cover the events of Operation al-Aqsa Flood since October 7, documenting and exposing Israeli crimes and massacres, while highlighting the acts of resistance against the Israeli occupation across various fronts, in the face of the blackout and misinformation propagated by Israeli and Western media.

Israelis murder 13-year-old Palestinian girl

Bana Amjad Bakr has been announced dead after Israeli occupation forces shot her in the chest while she stayed in her bedroom with her sisters

Israeli occupation forces killed a 13-year-old Palestinian girl in the village of Qaryut, south Nablus, in the occupied West Bank, the Red Crescent Society said.

According to the PCRS, paramedics treated Bana Amjad Bakr after the Israeli forces shot her in the chest as illegal Israeli settlers attacked the village, prompting confrontations.

Bana was rapidly taken to Rafidia Government Hospital in Nablus but was announced dead shortly after being admitted.

According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, Amjad Bakr, Bana's father, reported that his daughter was hit by IOF gunfire while she was in her room with her sisters.

Local reports indicated that settlers had invaded the village, targeting homes in the southern area with stones and setting nearby fields on fire
Earlier, Israeli settlers also shot a 34-year-old man in the hand, and severely beat a 30-year-old man, leaving him with significant bruises.

Israelis kill US-Turkish activist in West Bank

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) targeted and sniped a human rights activist and US-Turkish citizen in the head while she was peacefully protesting the expansion of illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank.

Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, 26, an American-Turkish human rights activist, arrived in the West Bank on Tuesday to volunteer with the International Solidarity Movement (ISM) as part of a campaign to protect Palestinian farmers from settler and IOF violence.

It is worth noting that Eygi would be the third ISM volunteer the IOF murdered, after Rachel Corrie in 2004 and Tom Hurndall in 2005.

"An American solidarity activist arrived at the hospital with a gunshot in the head, and we announced her martyrdom around 14:30," the director of Rafidia Hospital in Nablus, Fouad Nafaa said on Friday.

Israel' run by traitors, including Netanyahu: Israeli media

"Israel" is being run by individuals who are betraying their positions, and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is driving it into the abyss, Israeli newspaper Haaretz said in one of its August editorials.

The article published by the Israeli outlet reflects the internal division and fragmentation within the Israeli occupation and highlights its leaders' failure to manage the regime during wartime.

It further dissects the damage each Israeli leader is inflicting on "Israel", starting with Israeli Minister of Education Yoav Kisch.

According to the newspaper, Kisch "has one hefty mission, that is to ensure the beginning of the academic year as per usual," but has failed to accomplish it, holding him accountable for the education of almost 2.5 million students.

"Kisch's indifference to the fate of public education, the largest and primary system in Israel, mirrors his complete commitment to channeling substantial amounts of money into Haredi education, alongside the destruction of proper administration and the opportunity for a fair future."

Haaretz added that this represents Netanyahu's occupation government's distorted hierarchy of priorities. Like Netanyahu, the newspaper said, Kisch is trying to evade any responsibility and accountability.

The newspaper accused Kisch of being engrossed in providing benefits and scholarships to Haredi education "to the point where there is neither time nor money left to attend to students in formal [public] education."

Kisch was classified as one of many in the "disastrous" government, who stood up the hill and served Netanyahu's "coalition of plunder".

When the end goal is the prime minister's political survival, Haaretz said, then all ministries are simply props in a familiar game, "A game in which sectoral parties grow fatter, each according to its appetite, and these parties have big appetites."

Concluding the article, Haaretz affirmed that the Israeli occupation was run by self-interested groups described as "traitors", saying, "The minister of finance is damaging the economy, the Minister of National Security is damaging national security, the minister of education is damaging the students, and the Prime Minister is driving Israel to the abyss."

60 dead numerous injured overnight

On the 343rd day of genocide, Israeli occupation forces bombard numerous areas in Gaza, mostly central Gaza and the South

Israeli occupation forces have continued their relentless war on Gaza for the 343rd consecutive day, launching intensive airstrikes on various parts of the besieged Palestinian territory.

These attacks targeted central Gaza, Gaza City, and areas in the southern part of the strip, resulting in dozens of casualties. The death toll has reached 60 since last night, with many others wounded in the strikes, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported.

In the Jabalia refugee camp, located in northern Gaza, at least one person was killed when Israeli forces bombed a house in the al-Faluja area. Moreover, several hospitals in the northern part of the Gaza Strip have warned that they are on the brink of shutting down due to a severe fuel shortage.

In the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, a number of civilians, mostly women and children, were killed when a house was bombed. Rescue teams continue to search for survivors trapped under the rubble.

The al-Zaytoun neighborhood also witnessed heavy air bombardment. An Israeli airstrike targeted the area around Salah al-Din Mosque, according to local reports.

In central Gaza, Civil Defense teams recovered the body of a martyr and several wounded individuals after an Israeli airstrike hit a home on 20th Street in the Nuseirat refugee camp. At the same time, three other people were killed and several others were wounded, when a strike hit a house sheltering displaced civilians in the camp.

Further south in Rafah, five people were killed by Israeli tank shelling that targeted a house in the Mawasi Rafah area.

These recent casualties are part of a much larger death toll. Since October 7, the Ministry of Health in Gaza has reported more than 41,118 martyrs and 95,125 injuries as of September 12
As the bombardment continues, many victims remain trapped under debris, and ambulances and civil defense teams face difficulties reaching them due to the ongoing strikes and the accumulation of rubble across the roads.

Meanwhile, UNRWA announced that the first round of the polio vaccination campaign in Gaza ended yesterday, adding that the agency and partners have vaccinated hundreds of thousands of children, successfully reaching 90% vaccination coverage.

The next challenge, according to UNRWA, will be providing the second dose, needed in the coming weeks.

18,000 children without protection

In a press conference at the United Nations headquarters in Brussels, UN Humanitarian Coordinator Muhannad Hadi shed light on the grave humanitarian crisis affecting children in Gaza. Hadi revealed that between 17,000 and 18,000 children are currently orphaned and without protection.

According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Hadi pointed to the harsh living conditions faced by these children. With limited access to electricity and cooking gas, many are forced to collect firewood instead of attending school or playing. "It's heartbreaking to see children gathering firewood when they should be in classrooms," Hadi remarked.

The UN official described children selling broken door handles and other worthless items on the streets. The economic crisis has been compounded by a severe cash shortage, worsening the already desperate humanitarian conditions.

Hadi, who visited Gaza in August, compared the level of destruction to a "horror film", describing how basic necessities, such as clean water, coffee, and breakfast have become distant dreams for many after 11 months of the war.

The UN official spoke about the Israeli bureaucratic hurdles that make it difficult for aid workers to operate, including issues related to visas and border crossings. Moreover, there are grave security concerns, as UN and humanitarian vehicles have been targeted by gunfire. In one instance, a World Food Programme vehicle was hit by ten bullets in August.

The ongoing violence has also claimed the lives of many humanitarian workers. Hadi reported that 214 staff members from the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) and seven from the Global Central Kitchen have been killed in the line of duty amid the ongoing Israeli aggression.

Hadi emphasized that the crisis in Gaza and the West Bank has far-reaching consequences, warning of its broader implications for the entire region. "The devastation here affects not just Gaza, but threatens stability far beyond," he cautioned.

The US approved $165mln weapons sales to Israel

The United States, in it's urge to end the war by killing every Palestinian, has just approved a $165 million weapons sale to Israel, specifically for heavy-duty tank trailers, the State Department confirmed on Thursday

The sale includes spare parts, repair kits, tool-sets, and technical and logistical support. These systems. Earlier this year, the US unveiled a substantial $20 billion weapons package for the Israeli occupation entity, which includes F-15 fighter jets. Similar to the tank trailers, these systems will also take several years to arrive.

This comes despite mounting calls from lawmakers and the public for the Biden administration to end or reduce military aid to its biggest ally Israel due to the tens of thousands of Palestinians killed in the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip.

In a shy response to the situation, the US delayed in May the delivery of certain 2,000-pound bombs amid continued Israeli airstrikes on densely populated civilian areas in Gaza, though it moved forward with sending 500-pound bombs, as well as other weapons to Israel.

The Palestinian Resistance factions have pointed out that the Israeli occupation forces are committing massacres against civilians in Gaza with a greenlight from US President Joe Biden's administration, which claims to be working on reaching a ceasefire that would end the war and prisoner exchange deal between Hamas and Israel.

Earlier on Wednesday, US Senator Bernie Sanders underscored that the US must cease funding Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's ongoing war on Gaza.

"Enough is enough. No more money for Netanyahu's war machine," Sanders urged
In the same vein, a senior Israeli Air Force officer told the Israeli newspaper Haaretz that without American support, the Israeli military, especially the Air Force, would face significant difficulties in sustaining its war for more than a few months.

US supplying Israel with refueling planes

The United States is providing "Israel" with advanced refueling airplanes to help its fighter jets stay in the air for a longer time for long-range operations

The US Department of Defense is moving forward with plans to expand military infrastructure in occupied Palestine aimed at accommodating US-made refueling tanker aircraft, The Intercept reported Friday, citing documents it had obtained.

This development follows the US military's recent sale of billions of dollars worth of missiles, bombs, and other weapons to the Israeli occupation as the genocide in Gaza protracts.

According to newly released public contracting documents obtained by The Intercept, the Pentagon will be constructing and upgrading facilities at an Israeli military base in the southern region of occupied Palestine.

The project, outlined by the Army Corps of Engineers, involves the construction of new hangars, warehouses, and storage buildings. The expansion is part of a nearly $1 billion contract awarded to Boeing in 2022, which includes the delivery of four KC-46A Pegasus refueling tankers by 2026.

These aircraft will bolster the Israeli occupation's midair refueling capabilities, allowing for extended operations by its fighter jets, which could play a critical role in potential strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in the case of further regional instability.

The KC-46A, which is intended to replace the Israeli occupation's outdated Boeing 707 refueling planes, has encountered several technical challenges and has generated more than $7 billion in losses due to flaws in its design, particularly with its Remote Vision System.

Despite these issues, the aircraft is central to the Israeli occupation's long-term military strategy, especially in light of growing tensions.

In addition to the KC-46A purchase, the Biden administration recently approved five major arms deals to the Israeli occupation, encompassing 50 F-15 fighter jets, ammunition, air-to-air missiles, and other military equipment totaling over $20 billion
Although these are technically "sales", much of the cost is covered by US military aid to the Israeli occupation.

This construction effort is not the Pentagon's first major project in "Israel". A previous report by The Intercept revealed a multimillion-dollar US contract for troop facilities at "Site 512", a secret radar base in the Negev desert in southern occupied Palestine.

This base is one of over 60 US military installations spread across the region, many of which have faced attacks in recent years, resulting in significant casualties.

Endless aid

From fighter jets to heavy-duty tank trailers and other equipment, US aid to "Israel" seems to have no limit.

Yesterday, Reuters reported that the United States approved a $165 million weapons sale to "Israel", specifically for heavy-duty tank trailers, according to a statement by the State Department.

The sale includes spare parts, repair kits, toolsets, and technical and logistical support. These systems, however, are not scheduled for delivery until 2027.

Earlier this year, the US unveiled a substantial $20 billion weapons package for the Israeli occupation entity, which includes F-15 fighter jets. Similar to the tank trailers, these systems will also take several years to arrive.

This comes despite mounting calls from lawmakers and the public for the Biden administration to end or reduce military aid to its biggest ally "Israel" due to the tens of thousands of Palestinians killed in the ongoing war on the Gaza Strip.

The Washington Post reported back in June citing a senior administration official, that the US has supplied "Israel" with over $6.5 billion in military supplies dubbed as aid since the beginning of the war on Gaza last October, including nearly $3 billion approved in May.

These were the figures provided as of June 27

With Iran being one of "Israel's" targets in sight, it is worth noting that the Islamic Republic is among six countries that have achieved long-range surface-to-air missile production capabilities, accoding to the Commander of Air Defense Force in northwestern Iran, Brigadier General Abbas Azimi.

Azimi pointed to the fast-paced proliferation of Iran's homegrown air defense capabilities, which did not exist prior to the Islamic Revolution in 1979. The Brigadier General explained that procuring Iran's air defense equipment and systems depended solely on imports before the Islamic Revolution.

In stark contrast, the country's scientists and specialists now develop and produce radars that can operate in a 300-km radius, Azimi confirmed.

The Iranian commander also noted that the country's air defense force is always on full-time alert regardless of the conditions of war or peace.

Being surrounded by Turkey, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iraq, and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic has made the monitoring of the areas by the northwestern force of utmost importance, due to the presence of extra-regional air bases in these countries,

Meanwhile, Commander of the Iranian Army’s Air Defense Force Brigadier General Alireza Sabahi-Fard affirmed that the powerful air defense force of the Iranian army is ready to repel and stand against any possible aggression on the country.

IOF recruiting African refugees

A report by Haaretz reveals that African asylum seekers' aspirations for permanent residency in "Israel" are being used as an incentive to secure their participation in the war on Gaza

The Israeli security establishment is offering African asylum seekers, who are willing to take part in the war on Gaza, assistance in obtaining permanent residency in "Israel", Haaretz reported on Sunday, citing personal testimonies.

Israeli security officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity with the news outlet, revealed that this process is being carried out in a systematic manner with the involvement of legal advisors.

So far, none of the asylum seekers who participated in the war on Gaza have been granted permanent status in "Israel", Haaretz pointed out.

The news website noted that approximately 30,000 African asylum seekers reside in the Israeli occupation entity, the majority of whom are young men. Among them, around 3,500 Sudanese nationals have been granted temporary status by court order due to the Israeli authorities' failure to process their applications.

It became apparent to security officials that the asylum seekers' aspirations for permanent residency could be leveraged as an incentive to secure their participation in military operations in Gaza, the report mentioned.

One asylum seeker, identified only by the initial "A.", recounted his experience to Haaretz. Having arrived in the Israeli occupation entity at 16, he holds temporary status. Like many other asylum seekers, A. had expressed a desire to join the Israeli occupation military, seeing it as a potential path to integration into Israeli society.

In the early stages of the war, A. received a call from someone claiming to be a police officer, summoning him to a security facility without providing further details. Upon arrival, he was met by security personnel who, over a series of meetings, attempted to recruit him to the Israeli military.

A. was also told that upon enlisting, he would receive a salary comparable to his current job, along with the possibility of receiving official documents from the Israeli government.

"The guy told me they were looking for special people. I asked him what made me special, he didn't know me at all," he said.

Although A. initially considered joining, he ultimately decided against it, expressing doubts about his lack of military experience and the brevity of the two-week training period. When he informed the recruiter of his decision, the response was one of anger but left the door open for future enlistment.

Haaretz cited military sources as saying that the Israeli security establishment has utilized asylum seekers in various operations, some of which have been covered by the media.

The news website reported that while concerns have been raised about the ethical implications of this practice—specifically the exploitation of individuals who fled conflict in their home countries—these objections have largely been suppressed.

"This is a very problematic matter," one source told Haaretz.

Despite discussions about granting residency status to asylum seekers who participated in military operations, sources revealed that none have actually received such status, according to the news website. Simultaneously, efforts have been made by the Israeli security establishment to offer residency to non-asylum seekers who have contributed to the war.

UN to vote for end to Israeli occupation

United Nations (United States) (AFP) – UN member states were set to vote Wednesday on a push by the Palestinians to formally demand an end to the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories within 12 months

The non-binding text, which Israel says will fuel violence if adopted, is based on an advisory opinion from the International Court of Justice calling Israel's occupation since 1967 "unlawful."

"Israel is under an obligation to bring to an end its unlawful presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory as rapidly as possible," read the opinion, requested by the General Assembly.

In response, Arab countries called for a special session of the assembly just days before dozens of heads of state and government meet at the UN headquarters to address the kick off of this year's General Assembly session.

The draft resolution, due for a vote Wednesday at 11:00 am (1500 GMT), "demands that Israel brings to an end without delay its unlawful presence in the Occupied Palestinian Territory," and that this be done "no later than 12 months from the adoption."

The first draft text gave only six months

"The idea is you want to use the pressure of the international community in the General Assembly and the pressure of the historic ruling by the ICJ to force Israel to change its behavior," said Palestinian Ambassador to the UN Riyad Mansour Monday, acknowledging the draft resolution had "shocked many countries."

Israel firmly rejected the resolution on Tuesday

"Those who contribute to this circus are not simply bystanders. You are participants, enablers, collaborators. Every vote you cast in support of this circus fuels the violence," said Israel's ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon.

"How dare you continue this tradition of passing one-sided resolutions against Israel?"

Withdrawal of Israeli forces

The draft resolution -- which would be non-binding -- "demands" the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Palestinian territories, a halt to new settlements, the return of seized land and property, and the possibility of return for displaced Palestinians
It also calls on states "to take steps toward ceasing" arms provisions to Israel when there are "reasonable grounds to suspect that they may be used in the Occupied Palestinian Territory."

"The Palestinians want to live -- not survive. They want to be safe in their homes," said Mansour Tuesday, kicking off the debate on the first resolution ever introduced by the Palestinians.

"How many more Palestinians need to be killed before change finally takes place to stop this inhumanity?"

The ICJ opinion was "a historic opinion as this was the first time the court examined the Israeli occupation as a whole," Mansour said.

US Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield condemned the draft resolution as "inflammatory" and said it "is not going to advance the cause of peace."

"It also fails to acknowledge, among other things, that Hamas, a terrorist organization, is currently exerting power, control and influence in Gaza," Thomas-Greenfield added.

While the Security Council is largely paralyzed on the Gaza issue -- with the United States repeatedly vetoing censures of its ally Israel -- the General Assembly has adopted several texts in support of Palestinian civilians amid the current war.

Unlike in the Security Council, no country in the General Assembly has veto power.

The October 7 attack on southern Israel that sparked the current war resulted in the deaths of 1,205 people, mostly civilians, according to an AFP tally based on official Israeli figures.

Militants also seized 251 hostages, 97 of whom are still held in Gaza, including 33 the Israeli military says are dead.

Israel's retaliatory military offensive has killed at least 41,252 people in Gaza, according to the Hamas-run territory's health ministry, which does not provide a breakdown of civilian and militant deaths.

UNGA votes 124-14
to end Israeli occupation

Israel rejected the resolution, with its UN ambassador calling it a "shameful decision," while the US voted against it, criticizing the resolution as "inflammatory" and unproductive for peace

On Wednesday, UN General Assembly member states passed a non-binding resolution demanding that Israel end its occupation of Palestinian territories within 12 months, with sanctions for non-compliance.

The resolution, based on an International Court of Justice (ICJ) opinion declaring the occupation unlawful since 1967, saw 124 votes in favor, 14 against, and 43 abstentions. Arab countries initiated the special session just before the UN General Assembly.

The resolution calls for Israel's withdrawal from occupied territories, halts on new settlements, and the return of seized lands
It also suggests that countries cease arms sales to "Israel" when there is evidence that the arms are used in occupied areas.

Israel rejected the resolution, with its UN ambassador calling it a "shameful decision," adding that it "backs the Palestinian Authority's diplomatic terrorism."

The US, on the other hand, voted against the resolution, labeling it as "inflammatory" and unproductive for peace.

Earlier, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, US ambassador to the UN, urged for nations to vote against the resolution. On Thursday, the diplomat said she believes the UN has an "Israel problem" when questioned on the matter.

The US has been "Israel's" strongest ally during its ongoing genocide in Gaza, opposing unilateral measures that hinder a two-state solution or permanent ceasefire.

Although the ICJ's advisory opinion is non-binding, it holds significant influence under international law and may weaken the occupation's support. This is similar to the General Assembly's case, where the non-binding resolution carries political weight.

"The Palestinians want to live -- not survive. They want to be safe in their homes," Palestinian UN Ambassador Riyad Mansour told the General Assembly on Tuesday.

"How many more Palestinians need to be killed before change finally takes place to stop this inhumanity?"

"Each country has a vote, and the world is watching us," he added. "Please stand on the right side of history. With international law. With freedom. With peace," he urged.

Torn to pieces: IOF killed 710 infants
    before 1st birthday
For thousands of Palestinian parents, the joy of welcoming a new life quickly transformed into sorrow as Israel killed their newborns in harrowing bombardments

Asser and Aysal Abu Al-Qumsan, killed when they were four days old

On September 16, Gaza’s Health Ministry published a 649-page report detailing the personal information of 34,344 Palestinians killed by Israeli attacks over the past 11 months. This extensive list is still incomplete, as more than 41,000 Palestinians have reportedly been killed since October 7, with many not fully identified. Among the identified victims, over 11,300 are children, including 710 who were killed before their first birthday.

Israeli publication +972 Magazine recounted the soul-piercing stories of six infants whose lives were ended by "Israel" before they could even celebrate their first birthday.

'One of the twins had been torn to pieces'

In August, the world saw images of 33-year-old Muhammad Abu al-Qumsan holding the birth certificates of his newborn twins. After being forcibly displaced from the al-Rimal neighborhood of Gaza City in early October, his family moved to Shaboura refugee camp in Rafah and later were forcibly displaced to an apartment in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza. Tragically, just four days after their birth, an Israeli artillery shell struck, killing both twins, Asser and Aysal, along with their mother, Jumana.

On August 10, Muhammad and Jumana were filled with joy after she gave birth to twins following a challenging cesarean section at a field hospital in Deir al-Balah. However, their happiness soon turned into profound sorrow and anguish.

“At the start of the Israeli war on Gaza, after being displaced from one area to another in search of a safe place where my wife could comfortably and peacefully complete the remaining months of her pregnancy, I finally decided to stay in an apartment owned by one of my wife’s relatives in Al-Qastal Towers, east of Deir al-Balah, along with her mother and siblings,” Muhammad told +972. “I did not imagine that this apartment would become a target for the occupation’s missiles.”

“After having breakfast with my wife and her mother on the morning of Aug. 13, I went to collect my children’s birth certificates from the Civil Affairs Department at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah,” he added.

"Minutes after receiving them, and while I was still at the hospital, I received a phone call from a neighbor informing me that the Israeli military had shelled the apartment where my wife and children were and that everyone inside had been evacuated to the hospital where I was at the time," he continued.

“At first, I thought they might have only been wounded, but shock overwhelmed me when I found that their bodies had been placed inside the hospital morgue’s refrigerators,” Muhammad heartfully stated.

“One of the twins had been torn to pieces, his features unrecognizable, while the other was soaked in blood, just like their mother. As for their grandmother, the Israeli shell had severed her head. The shock and the horrific scene I witnessed were too much for my mind and heart to bear. I fainted and collapsed to the ground,” he added.

After the twins were born, Jumana posted the news on her Facebook profile, bringing joy to all her acquaintances. A wave of congratulations and happy messages poured in, despite the surrounding tragedies. Just four days later, the same post became a space for condolences, with commenters expressing their shock at her death and offering sympathies for the loss of her and her children.

“Jumana and I were eagerly awaiting our new life, which would be filled with the laughter of our two children, but the Israeli occupation robbed us of that joy,” Muhammad said.

“I only have brief memories and the most beautiful moments of my life with my twins and my wife before they left this world. Aysal and Asser were my first and last joy. What were they guilty of? Why did the Israeli occupation bomb them?" he gushed.

Bombing a pregnant women and killing its infant

Sabrine al-Rouh al-Sheikh was not yet born when an Israeli airstrike hit Rafah in April, critically injuring her mother and claiming the lives of her father and sister. Her paternal uncle, Rami al-Sheikh, recounted the devastation in the al-Shaboura neighborhood.

“At dawn on April 20, while we were sleeping and without any prior warning, warplanes bombed the house,” Rami recounted. “My brother Shukri was torn to pieces, as was his daughter, Malak.”

Doctors performed an emergency cesarean section on the mother, also named Sabrine, who was seven months pregnant; however, she died 10 minutes later due to injuries to her head, chest, and abdomen. Baby Sabrine was then transferred to the Al-Emirati Hospital in Rafah, where she fought for her life for five days before ultimately succumbing and joining her family.

In addition to the baby’s mother, father, and 3-year-old sister Malak, 16 other members of their extended family were killed in the airstrike.

“Her father was eagerly awaiting the arrival of his baby girl and wanted to name her ‘Rouh’, meaning ‘soul’, but I chose to name her Sabrine Al-Rouh in honor of her mother, while also fulfilling her father’s wish before he was killed,” Rami told +972. “How long will these massacres continue? The world is not paying attention to the genocide being committed against us.”
The pain of loss

In the first week of the Israeli offensive, 26-year-old Mo’emen Abu al-O’uf and his family were frocibly displaced from their home in Gaza City and sought refuge with relatives in Deir al-Balah, reassured by Israeli evacuation notices that areas south of Wadi Gaza were "safe".

However, on October 14, just a day after their displacement, Israeli warplanes struck the house next door without any warning. Mo’emen and his brother survived the explosion with injuries, but his wife Alaa (22), their seven-month-old daughter Manal, and his mother Manal (53) all lost their lives.

“At first, I thought what had happened to me was just a dream,” he recounted. “I felt an overwhelming sense of loss and sorrow that only someone who has experienced the bitterness of losing their loved ones can understand,” he said.

For the past 11 months since the attack, Mo’emen has been haunted by memories of his family and the profound pain of their loss.

“The happiest days of my life were when I married Alaa on Dec. 12, 2021, and when my daughter Manal was born, but the occupation deprived me of that joy by killing them. They were innocent. Were they fighters? Were they carrying weapons?” he continued.

Israel killed my dream and prevented me from being a mother

On March 2, an Israeli airstrike hit the home of 29-year-old Rania Abu Anza in the al-Salam neighborhood, east of Rafah, resulting in the deaths of her baby twins, her husband, and 11 relatives who had sought shelter with them. Rania survived the attack and was rescued from the debris of her collapsed home.

“We were asleep when the house was attacked,” Rania told +972. “Suddenly, I found myself buried in a pile of rubble. I didn’t hear the missile that struck us. I screamed, hoping someone would rescue us, as the rubble covered the bodies of my children and husband. They were all killed.”

Rania shared that it took her and her husband many years to conceive. “We struggled a lot to have children,” she explained.

“I underwent three artificial insemination procedures; the first two attempts failed, and we succeeded on the third try. I became pregnant with my twins, Naeem and Wissam, and gave birth to them on Oct. 13,” Rania added.

“I never imagined I would lose my twins and husband,” Rania stressed. “I had eagerly awaited the day I would see them grow up in front of me, but now I am left alone. To this day, I still search through the scattered rubble of the house for memories of my children — their blankets and clothes that I had dreamed of seeing them wear. I still hold on to their clothes, and I still continue to wear my husband’s ring, with whom I shared the most beautiful days of my life. But the occupation killed my dream and prevented me from being a mother.”

Israel soldiers throwing bodies off roof

Israel's military has launched an investigation after its soldiers were filmed throwing the bodies of three dead Palestinians off a rooftop during a raid in the occupied West Bank

Footage of the incident, filmed in the northern town of Qabatiya, near Jenin, then appears to show an Israeli military bulldozer picking up and removing the bodies.

The images have sparked widespread outrage. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said on Friday that it was “a serious incident” that did not “conform” to its values and what was expected of its forces.

Local Palestinian officials say at least seven people were killed by Israeli forces in Qabatiya on Thursday.

Under international law, soldiers are obliged to ensure that bodies, including those of enemy fighters, are treated with respect
The IDF said it carried out a counterterrorism operation in Qabatiya, during which four militants were killed in an "exchange of fire" and three others were killed after a drone strike on a car.

A journalist in Qabatiya told the BBC that on Thursday morning Israeli troops had surrounded a building in town.

He described how four men who were in the house then escaped to the roof and were shot by snipers.

Fighting continued in the town and when it had subsided, he then said he saw Israeli troops go up to the roof and drop the bodies down over the side, where they were then loaded onto a bulldozer.

Asked about the incident shown in the footage, the IDF said: "This is a serious incident that does not conform with [our] values and the expectations from IDF soldiers. The incident is under review."

The military said that one of those killed in Qabatiya was Shadi Zakarneh, who it identified as being "responsible for directing and carrying out attacks in the northern West Bank area".

It said he was "the head of the terrorist organisation" in Qabatiya but did not specify which group he belonged to.

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, in the West Bank, described the incident on X, formerly known as Twitter, as a "crime" which exposed the "brutality" of the Israeli army.

White House national security spokesperson John Kirby described the footage as "deeply disturbing".

"If it's proven to be authentic, it clearly would depict abhorrent and egregious behaviour by professional soldiers," he told reporters.

There has been a spike in violence in the West Bank since Hamas’s attack on Israel on 7 October and the ensuing war in Gaza.

More than 690 Palestinians have been killed there since then, the Palestinian health ministry says, as Israeli forces have intensified their nearly daily search and arrest raids.

Israel says it is trying to stem Palestinian attacks in the West Bank and Israel, in which at least 33 Israelis have been killed.

In Gaza, more than 41,000 Palestinians have been killed as a result of Israeli military action, according to the Hamas-run health ministry.

1982 Sabra and Shatila Massacre

On its 42nd anniversary, the Sabra and Shatila massacre should remain part of global collective consciousness, as "Israel’s" actions in 2024 are putting innocent Palestinian and Lebanese lives at risk

Sabra and Shatila Massacre of 1982

The 42nd anniversary of the Sabra and Shatila massacre of 1982 is a glaring reminder of Israel’s historical ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and Lebanese. Back then, the Zionist regime invaded Lebanon and massacred Palestinians and Muslims in the capital city Beirut.

The brutality and scale of the massacre classify it as a genocide and remain etched in the Palestinian collective consciousness as they continue to endure daily bombardments, extrajudicial killings, and violence by the very same Zionist entity.

Examined closely, there exist parallels between the 1982 genocide in Sabra and Shatila and Israel’s relentless attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon which is concomitant with its killing sprees in Gaza.

These parallels are exactly why the Sabra and Shatila massacre by Israel should never be forgotten.

The massacre of 1982

Israel’s creation in 1948 and its subsequent occupation of Palestinian territories resulted in a massive exodus of Palestinians migrating and seeking refuge in Lebanon. However, ethnic and religious tensions were brewing in Lebanon in 1975, partly due to the country’s unique demographic composition, which consists of Christians, Druze, Shia, and Sunni Muslims.

Moreover, the country’s parliamentary structure favored Lebanese Christians at the expense of other religious groups, which resulted in the widening of religious cleavages after 1975, the year Lebanon plunged into a Civil War, which further worsened as different foreign powers got involved in the conflict that lasted for approximately 15 years.

It is within this context that Israel decided to pursue its opportunistic and expansionist agendas. This included foreign interference, aggression against an ethnic population on foreign territory, and brazen meddling in Lebanon’s internal affairs. After attacking and massacring PLO freedom fighters in Lebanon throughout the 1970s, Israel cited the attempted assassination of its ambassador to the United Kingdom, Shlomo Argov, as a pretext to invade Lebanon and attack PLO freedom fighters.

However, Israeli historians, including those advocating for the genocide of Palestinians such as Benny Morris, contested such claims and stated that the attempted assassination of Argov was by Abu Nidal, a defector from Yasser Arafat’s Fatah faction within the PLO who had previously killed many PLO members.

Yet, despite the lack of evidence and subsequent PLO condemnation of the assassination attempt, Israel invaded Lebanon in 1982 and was supported by rogue Lebanese politicians such as Bachir Pierre Gemayel who headed the Lebanese Forces, a Christian right-wing militia fighting against Lebanese Muslims during the civil war.

Gemayel was eventually assassinated by fellow Maronite Christian, Habib Shartouni, a member of the Syrian Social Nationalist Party. His assassination, however, prompted then-Zionist Security Minister, Ariel Sharon, to call for the Israeli occupation of West Beirut in violation of Israel’s previous agreement with the United States to not occupy the capital of Lebanon.

With anger brimming over the assassination of the Kataeb's Gemayel, Ariel Sharon fomented negative sentiments and leveraged Christian anger by calling for the invasion of Sabra and Shatila by propagating a fallacy that the PLO was responsible for Gemayel’s death.

Sharon also notoriously stated:

"We’ll kill them. They will not be left there. You are not going to save them. You are not going to save these groups of international terrorists. If you don't want the Lebanese to kill them, we will kill them."
After the invasion of Lebanon and Sharon’s siege of Beirut, a brutal genocide of 3,500 civilians, the majority of whom were Palestinians and Lebanese Muslims, unfolded in Sabra and Shatila.

This included the Israeli and Kataeb mutilating bodies and mass raping women and children, which prompted the United Nations General Assembly to declare the massacre as a genocide. Lawsuits and proceedings were also initiated against Ariel Sharon, which eventually resulted in him forfeiting the post of Security Minister.

The scale of the massacre constituted "state-sponsored" terrorism. Fast forward to 2024, one notices that "Israel’s" strategic calculus remains the same.

Israel’s penchant for destruction

Israel’s ruthless electronic terrorism attack against Hezbollah’s fighters and civilians in Beirut in 2024 demonstrates the Zionist regime’s penchant for the destruction of Lebanon and Palestine as witnessed in 1982.

The pager attacks resulted in thousands of casualties in Lebanon and are the latest example of Israel employing asymmetrical warfare, violating state sovereignty, and disregarding international law to achieve its narrow, parochial goal of eliminating resistance against occupation in both Lebanon and Palestine.

The urge to turn Beirut into Gaza as expressed by Netanyahu himself comes in the form of dismembering Hezbollah, an entity born out of "Israel’s" occupation of Lebanon in 1982 and its horrendous attacks of Sabra and Shatila. In many ways, Hezbollah represents the resistance of the Lebanese people, its support base, and its Palestinian brethren who have otherwise endured "Israel’s" occupation and "state-sponsored terrorism" since 1948.

In fact, in 1982 the objective of Ariel Sharon was to eliminate the PLO and Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, whereas in 2024, attention has shifted to attacking Hezbollah along with Hamas. It should be noted that both entities are liberation movements and both have suffered collateral damage from Israeli terrorism.

Massacres in refugee camps in 1982 mirror similar instances of attacks against the al-Maghazi camp in Gaza and the Rafah tent camp in 2023-24 which is evidence of "Israel’s" nefarious attempts to eliminate populations.

In truth, if the 1948 Nakba symbolizes Palestinian genocide, then the Sabra and Shatila massacre of 1982 is evidence of Israel’s genocide against the Lebanese people, its aversion to Palestinian and Lebanese Resistance, and its penchant for "state terrorism".

On its 42nd anniversary, the Sabra and Shatila massacre should remain part of global collective consciousness, as "Israel’s" actions in 2024 are putting innocent Palestinian and Lebanese lives at risk.

Israeli forces raid Al Jazeera’s office

Qatari broadcaster Al Jazeera said that Israeli forces raided its office in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank on Sunday and issued a 45-day closure order

Israel’s Government last week announced it was revoking the press credentials of Al Jazeera journalists in the country, four months after banning the channel from operating inside Israel.

“There is a court ruling for closing down Al Jazeera for 45 days,” an Israeli soldier told Al Jazeera’s West Bank bureau chief Walid al-Omari, the network reported, citing the conversation which was broadcast live.

“I ask you to take all the cameras and leave the office at this moment,” the soldier said, according to the footage, which showed heavily armed and masked troops entering the office in Ramallah.

The broadcaster said the soldiers did not provide a reason for the closure order.

Omari said the closure order accused the network of “incitement to and support of terrorism”, according to Al Jazeera.

“Targeting journalists this way always aims to erase the truth and prevent people from hearing the truth,” the bureau chief said.

Israel’s army did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Government has had a long-running feud with Al Jazeera that has worsened since the Gaza war began following the October 7 attack by Palestinian militant group Hamas.

The Israeli military has repeatedly accused journalists from the Qatari network of being “terrorist agents” in Gaza affiliated with Hamas or its ally, Islamic Jihad.

Al Jazeera denies Israel’s accusations and claims that Israel systematically targets its employees in the Gaza Strip.

The media office of the Hamas-run Government in Gaza condemned Sunday’s raid, saying in a statement it was a “resounding scandal and a blatant violation of press freedom”.

‘No surprise’

The Israeli Parliament passed a law in early April allowing the banning of foreign media broadcasts deemed harmful to state security.

Based on this law, the Israeli Government approved on May 5 the decision to ban Al Jazeera from broadcasting from Israel and close its offices for a renewable 45-day period, which was extended for a fourth time by a Tel Aviv court last week.

The shutdown had not affected broadcasts from the West Bank or the Gaza Strip, from which Al Jazeera was still covering Israel’s war with Palestinian militants.

Al Jazeera correspondent Nida Ibrahim said the network’s West Bank office closure “comes as no surprise” after the earlier ban on reporting from inside Israel.

“We’ve heard Israeli officials threatening to close down the bureau,” she said on the network.

“But we (had) not been expecting it to happen today.”

Another Al Jazeera journalist said the staff were prevented from reporting on the raid and their cameras were confiscated.

In May, the network condemned as “criminal” the ban on it operating over its coverage of the Gaza war.

“We condemn and denounce this criminal act by Israel that violates the human right to access information,” the channel said in a statement.
