For more than 10 years, security agencies have had the capability to PING any mobile phone, even those turned off

A PING is the term used for a signal sent out to a computer or mobile phone and it's response from your computer or phone, tells people where you are

Mobile phones CAN respond to a PING even when switched off, all that is required is a that a Trojan Horse program be sent to a phone

There have been times when such Trojan Horse programs have been sent out to almost entire populations, in order to find the location of terrorist networks

My suggestion is that should you be going to any interesting meetings - leave your phone at home
