Dr. Jamal Abu Shaqra Head of the Middle East Researches Centre in the Egyptian Ain Shams University , on Wednesday, May 16, met with Mala Yasin Rauf Head of the PUK Office in Cairo.
Abu Shaqra in a statement to PUKmedia said that the presidency of Ain Shams University approved a request by the Head of Saladin University in Erbil, to open a Kurdish Language Department in the college of Arts in the eastern languages section, in Ain Shams university .
He also said that the opening of the Kurdish Language Department will consolidate the relations between both the Egyptian and the Kurdish peoples as well as provide an opportunity for the Arab and foreign students to learn the Kurdish language.
