I just saw you ask about "Meryem" in another thread - and I wanted to tell you that "Meryem" is a Semitic name, not Kurdish (Iranic)...
A few of my favourite girl's names are:
Kurdish ¤ English ¤ Meaning:
Sema ¤ Samaa = Dance/Ritual Dance
Shahbanû ¤ Shaahbaanou = Queen (literally: Shah = "King" and Banû = "Lady")
Banû ¤ Baanou = Lady
Zozan ¤ Zozaan = Highlands (in geography: a place so high above sea-level that trees don't grow there)
Azade ¤ Aazaada = The Free One
The English transliterations won't help much, though, since you have to hear them spoken to know where to put the primary and also secondary stress in some cases...
I'm gonna PM you...
