Does anyone know where I can find a Sorani to English phrasebook. I found one on Amazon.com but it was out of print. It was about $20-$30 but then the price jumped up to $200 for a special order here to the States.
...or a comprehensive online dictionary. I have only found other dialects on the net, not Sorani.
Thanks for any help!!

Hmmm...

I think we had other topics about the same matter before? Did you look to see if anybody else asked the same question before? :)

We have a Norwegian-Kurdish (SoranĂ®) Dictionary in Norway... But none in English...

And I know an online Norwegian-Kurdish dictionary... But none in English...

That's not much help though...

That Azadi dictionary is supposed to come to the states soon. Suppose to be the most complete and best Kurdish dictionary - so just wait it out :)

If anyone knows who would have it in stock please let me know
Thanks

You have this one :

http://s1.amazon.com/exec/varzea/ts/exc ... 87-4040902

It is Kurdish-SoranĂ®/English.

From English to soranĂ® there is the Saladin's dictionary (avesta publisher)

and for teaching this one :

Excellent, no I haven't found either one of those.
Great find. Is there a link to the bottom book? Thanks again

Hewler comes from old Kurdish (IE) 'helio' which means sun. and the word hewler over all is said to mean Temple of the Sun.

PS. Consider Greek ''Helios''.

The Kurdish institute of paris sells it but for you I suppose it could be easier to ordre it directly to the author. He has a website here :
