A Kurdish elementary school was announced officially open August 25th in Zurich, Switzerland.
In a ceremony August 25th the Kurdistan Women’s Union of Switzerland announced the opening of a Kurdish elementary school in Zurich.
“We extend our appreciation towards the educational department of Zurich for assisting us in opening the Rene Setz Kurdish Elementary School in the city,” Head of the women’s union remarked, “ It is our aim to bring together both the Kurdish and Swiss culture in Rene Setz Elementary.”
In Switzerland, Kurdish cultural associations flourish. There are over a dozen Kurdish organisations in the small alpine country.
