Georgia is pretty cute you know, it was cute 'till first Georgian president Zviad Gamsakhurdia, and his slogan "Georgia for Georgians" - it means for Georgian, not for Russians, not for Azerbaijans, not for Armenians and also not for Kurd - Yezidis and other... In this time a lot of kurd - yezidis removed to Russia and Europe, as you see I'm steel here. Old Georgians are greatest people you know... They respect other nationalitys, even more Assyrians and Kurd - Yezidis. But my generation is more nacists then the previous. So, I keep in my mind to move soon out of here. My dream is America. California, wait for me...
The first Kurds in Georgia was bodyguards of Qeen Tamar in 1184 year. The names is Zakharia and Ioan, second name is - Mxargrdzeli, which means - Long shoulder. 8)

That was my little story.
Sorry for my english.
Really like this forum.
Enjoy our YEZIDI web-pages too...
I don't know if advertisment is allowe here, but moderator sorry for my mistake if so...
http://www.ezdixane.ru - yezidi culture, news, media.

Good Luck.

0rtli - you are welcome to advertise for your website in this section... :)

Thank you for the info on Georgia...

But let me ask you - why do you write "Kurd" and "Yezidi" like as if they were different things...?

Êzdî is a religion... It is the Kurdish religion...

But "Kurdish" is an ethnicity...

I know Armenia tried at times, to divide Kurds by saying Êzdî are a different nation... I hope Georgia doesn't do the same....

Your photo is beautiful :) Best wishes and good luck with your dreams...

I hope you will stay and discuss life and politics with us... :)

And your English is very good!

Roj xer...
I think you get me wrong mate. Well, in my point of view, our nationality is Kurdish, and my religion is yezidi. I also understand that Kuridsh can be muslim, christian, budist and other. I just want to say that there is no problem with this. But, our grands always says that we are YEZIDIS, not KURDS. At the time of genocide, they see many bad things from the kurd-muslims side, because the was on turkish side, and our georgian and armenian yezidis, know that the mostly kurdish muslim are bad guys.
The older generation mostly never say that we are kurds.
And i understand they positions, because kurdish and turkish muslims was killing they family.
Ok, lets finish at this moment.
Respect and love to all other religions nad nationality.
PEACE
Thanks for your welcome guys... Best wishes, have a good day.

No I was just asking why... Because it's sad that some Êzdî say they are not Kurdish... :(

But I am glad that there are many more Êzdî who say they are Kurdish... Sipas bo Xuda... :)

But bira - do the Kurds in Georgia say "Roj xêr" for "God day"? :)

I understand that the Êzdî have reasons to distance themselves from Muslim Kurds because of the Genocide on non-Muslims by the hands of the Turks and some Kurds...

I hope we can put this behind us... And today - most Muslim Kurds are sorry for what happened... :(

Anyway - I am glad to have you here... You are my brother no matter what religion you have... Because you are a Kurd!

Hahaha  No you are not UFO of course... We are all Kurds of course...

But we say "Roj baş","Êwar baş" and "Şew baş" in Colemêrg... :P We only use "xêr" when we say "Xêr hatî"... :P

I hope in the future, when Kurdistan is independent, that everybody will help build Kurdistan to become a strong and rich place...
