Hi and welcome !

As a language, Kurdish belongs to the Indo-Iranian group, as Gujarati, I think, so it is not surprising if you find some words in common .

Concerning the peacock, it has a great importance only for the Kurdish Yezidis, a religious non-muslim sect which has kept many roots and rituals from ancient pre-islamic Iranian religions, like Mazdeism, so it shares also many origins with Veda.

Welcome to the forum.

Kurdish also has many common words with English.

I cook nice Bengaly recipe curry. Do you have your own regional curry recipe like prianay or chicken curry.

Do Kurds have anything such as curry in their homeland?

Many meals are not far from it, but without that spice. I might be wrong but I never ate curry in Kurdistan. They have sumac, curcuma, and many others.

No, even din't hear of it in my time. I discovered curry when I worked as washing up in a Bangladeshi Restaurant. I became addicted to it. I still cook curry meals but not like Bangladeshi recipe any more because you have to use a lot of oil.

Worry not things are bound to improve :ymhug:

Your heart is with the Kurdish people and that is most important thing

Many people/countries seek to destroy Kurds and any chance of Kurdish unity

Hopefully Kurds will awaken soon and realise what is being done to them

GOOD LUCK :x
