I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Charles Chapman. My weblog is:

The Is-Ought Problem
http://www.theisoughtproblem.blogspot.com

The focus of my weblog is Iraqi Kurdistan.

Oh, and when I refer to it as Iraqi Kurdistan, instead of Southern Kurdistan, I mean no offense. I'm not a Baathist. :) I use the term "Iraqi Kurdistan" for the benefit of my readers. Iraqi Kurdistan is a recognized political entity, and a term most people will recognize. Most of my readers are from the U.S., and most have no idea where (or what) Kurdistan is. The term "Southern Kurdistan" would be confusing for them at best. I guess when it comes to language, I'm a descriptavist, as a opposed to a prescriptavist.

I understand the political use of language. However, such use would be lost on my readers.
