Kurdistan Namrî

PostAuthor: jjmuneer » Fri Aug 31, 2012 7:51 pm

Here is my views on Kurdistan and what should happen. I know it is very vague, and most of it is in a story telling/poetic style, but still I thought I would post it on RBK. Feedback would be appriecated.

KURDISTAN NAMRÎ

Our nation, our nation under attack, our nation starving, our nation bleeding, our nation in ruins, our nation the shadow of its former self and corruption has poisoned our minds. The world has abandoned us, even the prophets have left us. The Kurdish nation and the Kurdish people have been left to fend for themselves. The enemy has corrupted us, they have corrupted our language, they have corrupted our culture and they have corrupted our blood. The enemy has succeeded in doing this, but the enemy will not and must not take our souls. The soul of our nation and the soul of our people. In which is cherished by a few, but that few guard it with their lives. We will and must recklessly defend our lands in which have been so crammed and subjugated to oppression and oppressive rulers. It is not only the duty of the people to safeguard the land, but to safeguard the people within those lands. For without the people, the land means nothing. This enemy that I speak of is not just the external enemy, but the enemy within. The enemy which has created ignorant divisions and chooses to suck off the host like a parasite.
How long have the people remained asleep? How long shall we remain asleep? Until there is no more Kurdistan left to fight for? It will not be any political ideology that will drive this nation, but the very people themselves. For the greatness and the might of the nation solely rests on the people. An entire Kurdish nation united through its people. Only nationalism of the people can bring the Kurdish people to its former glory. It Is not the land that is surrounded, but the Kurdish people. Now more than ever is the time to rise, it is the time to break away from our slave owners. (Turks & Arabs) As a people so proud and free, our desire must be independence at any cost, whether that is sweat or blood or both. For it is not violence or war we seek, but it is justice, justice that has been denied for endless centuries. The Kurdish people have become sick and tired of torment, the torment that has classed us as inferior in all ways possible, if blood and war is our path, if the Kurdish people have to go down that path. Then by god will we shake this earth and make our voices heard. Of course peace is always favourable to any peoples or nations, but sadly our enemies in which we call our “neighbours” have no regard for life or peace of life for that matter of fact.
The Kurdish people must unite, unite through clans if need be, unite through any means possible. The unity within us will create the strength. That strength will enable us to prosper; it will enable us to survive. For surviving and prosperity is and will be our sole drive. Our enemies persecute us now, they persecute the Kurdish people and nation now, but when we have achieved our freedom and independence by God will we rain thunder down upon them. Do not confuse this with fanaticism; this is passion, the passion to better you, the drive to succeed as a people and nation. However the only way this process can ever last or begin, the Kurdish people must awaken. Awaken from their sleep, awaken and maintain will power, maintain honour, maintain pride.

Our Ideology

Our ideology must be based on two things, two things which will drive us to the end. One: A free and independent Kurdistan, a great Kurdistan. Two: We must pursue the first with the greatest conviction and to the end. Our nationalism must derive from the people and for the people, for the sake of the people. Our sole drive must be to serve the people and the nation, in no way must we deceive the people. Our nationalism must enable us to move forward, to advance in all aspects of life; it must be thought of in the long term to be preserved. There is a word which has been forgotten for centuries, a word which must be in bedded in our nationalism. That word is ‘Honour’, a word that must wretchedly imprint into not only our minds, but hearts. To stand and fight for your country must not be a duty but an honour, a holy call that is in need of a call.
The preservation of our people and culture must be at our priority, it must be a primary objective. Not only do we aim to prosper, but as a people we must sustain and endure the mounting problems ahead of us. Our nationalism must also be based on social Darwinism, in the sense of only the strongest survive. However we must do this in a collective manner. If one compatriot is to fall, another is to pick him up and take his place. This is how our mentality should be, one must never think in terms of ‘I’, but ‘We’, only then can we truly be a nation. The state relies on the people, thus the state must ensure it serves the people to the best of their ability. Only then can a government truly state it is nationalist. Only then will we rise from the ashes and reclaim what is ours. Not only that but the preservation of our peoples be accomplished by any means necessary.
Our culture that has been corrupted must also be re-claimed; it must become ‘pure’ again. The culture that we lost, or the culture that was changed or forced upon us must all be altered. If this is not done, then our nationalism will thrive on false pride and traditions. It should not only be a priority of state to do this, but the priority of the people. For it is through the people the language and culture lives on, only when it is embedded in them can a culture never die. Thus it should be in our greatest concern to maintain ‘tribalism’ in the sense of name and tradition, as opposed to the older structure. However one cannot forget or disregard the beauty of the old collectivist structure, which in a new and modern way must also be embraced.
We also must not forget the racial identity of ourselves; we must not forget the might of our ancestors. It must also be a sole duty to maintain our racial identity, to preserve it and to better it. The nationalist agenda must also thrive on this, for without it we are nothing. The constant decline of our racial identity, the constant attack of it, the constant disregard for it, is being instigated by not only external forces, but internal ones. In no way must the attempt to re-gain a racial identity be to attack others’. It must solely help to preserve and maintain ours. It is not a matter of not accepting other peoples, but simply a matter of acknowledging the way nature has made us.

Economy

The economy must work in hand in hand with our nationalism. It must be said that an economy that works against the nationalism of the people, must not be accepted at all. An economy that disregards the nation’s history, culture, identity must also not be accepted. An economy that attempts to use the nation as a tool for its own needs or benefits must also not be accepted. The consumerist economy that only serves to benefit those in power must also never be accepted. It has corrupted societies, both in the economical manner of thinking, and the cultural manner of thinking. Our priority is to increase and boost GDP, it must be to create stable economic growth. However this must be done in a collectivist manner, in which if one falls, we all fall. It must not be a matter of thinking in terms of ‘I’, but ‘We’, only then can there be economic growth. Not only that, there can be equality that is at a high standard of living.
Economic growth must not be at the expense of the people, it must not be at the expense of living standards or wage decrease. The way in which we have fast economic growth that can be sustained and living standards that are relatively high for the entire population, is if we embark on a course of collectivism. This is in no way an attack on individual freedoms; actually in fact it is in an increase in individual freedoms. One can hold their heads up high and say they have committed, or they have sacrificed for the greater good. That should be the greatest freedom of all. It must also be said that economic growth does not necessarily mean high living standards or individuals on mass becoming wealthier. Thus this is why economic growth must be carefully planned and thought of for the masses.
It must be noted that no industry should be looked down upon or put to the side. They must also be equally cared for and invested in. To generate sufficient economic growth that is sustainable, we must first have a set plan to develop and create new industries. These industries must be focused not only on light/mixed industries, but also heavy industries. As we as a nation must become competitive in all those sectors and field, to broaden our chances. We must first have a lot of money in our hands, if we don’t we must get loans, only loans with low interest rates and with no implications on how our economy should proceed. Then with that money we must invest in developing a new industry of metals and the specific manufacturing of metals such as iron or steel. It must also be further developed into industries such as car manufacturing and other metal developed industries. This will involve the extraction of raw materials from our nation, but at a sustainable rate. It can also involve the trading of raw materials from other nations at a cheaper rate in terms of the cost of us not losing our natural materials, by buying foreign ones.
The oil industry is of course a major industry in Kurdistan; however this industry as a means of benefiting from it from an economic perspective must not be a main reliance. Yes in the short run the oil industry is a main source of economic growth and development. However it must be used to feed other industries, such as the metal industries and also the service industry that should also be seeked to be satisfied. Not only must that, but petrol and coal not be a main source of energy. In the short run again it is, but in the long run we must invest using the revenue the oil industry generates in invested that into new energy sources that are more sustainable and non-renewable. This is not for the sake of environmental causes, but it would be much more economically beneficial in the long term in investing in them. Firstly financially it can be used to generate revenue, and secondly it would generate cheap energy for the population.
The oil industry must also be used to finance a service industry that is quite marginal in Kurdistan. However a service industry must never be at the heart of an economy, but it must also not be excluded or looked down upon. The service industry must be developed through the creation of shopping centres, small shops, and other related industries. These industries must be only really focused for the sake of the long term, along with the metal manufacturing industries.
A short term industry that should be prioritized and looked at is the construction industry and the development of infrastructure on a mass scale. This will inevitably increase GDP in the short term; it will also boost aggregate demand in the short term. It will also create jobs for the short term which would be sufficient in reducing unemployment for the short term. Inevitably the workers will gain skills to pass on or work with in the long run, and will be able to enter long term jobs. Long term jobs of farming, the service industry and manufacturing industries. The creation of new roads, homes, schools and hospitals will easily boost our economic potentials and will make us more competitive abroad as well.
The farming industry must also be developed and vitalized into not only just a self-serving industry, i.e. feeding itself, but we must also use it to boost exports and to also increase GDP. It must also be to benefit the workers and allow employment in that filed to increase; the farming industry must also be valued as not only a source of survival, but as a source to benefit collectively economically the people. It should be said the farming industry should be industrialized and mechanized not just to benefit people economically, but in times of shortages it would be helpful. It would also mean exports are much more competitive in that sector, and will enable us to boost industries that are small or valuable.
A tax system should of course be in place, it should be regulated rigidly and thoroughly. The tax system should always be fair, and never should it aim to target the poor, so it should always be progressive. Taxing should be as minimal as possible, however if taxing is increased it should always be invested into the economy to create more growth, so in the long run it is reduced.
Economic growth should never be a main priority without the aim of reducing unemployment to its natural rate. Unemployment should first be tackled in the short term through the creation of short term jobs. Then in the long run it should be through the infrastructure and industries that have been settled, to expand on them. Unemployment must always be a concern of the government, as with unemployment the productivity of the nation is not maximised. It must also be said unemployment or those who cannot work should be helped by the state, only under those circumstances. Other than that, those who do not work for their own agenda must never be supported by the state.
The main industries must be nationalised, not purely for the sake of pride, but economically it would make more sense. Nationalising industries will mean they are directly in the hands of the state to regulate and monitor. This is in no way a means for the state to the benefit they, but the state to benefit the people. For without it, companies or foreign companies are able to exploit our industries for their own ends.

In the end

When Kurdish suns are waving over Kurdistan; on all parts of Kurdistan, there will be a great sense of peace and joy in the Kurdish people and nation. No more moon and star in our sacred land, no more executioners read to kill our young men. Only an eternal peace, only a nation working in unison and the sun shines brighter than ever. Not a day to remember, but every day to remember, for everyday is a great day in this ‘New Kurdistan’. The task that was set; the task that was bestowed upon us has been achieved. No more tears, no more pain and no more suffering in this ‘New Kurdistan’. This ‘New Kurdistan’ that was forged by the people, by a defiant and passionate people. An age of honour and love has been re-born, once again a proud Kurdish people practice such things. Fathers go to work, mothers bring up the children, and the children go to school. What could not happen before, what was deemed as dangerous is no longer the case now. The struggle and sacrifice that enable such things to occur will never be forgotten. Not even the Gods will forget such sacrifice and courage; those heroes, those Peshmerga that gave their lives for an idea called Kurdistan. Now a family doesn’t have to keep their mother tongue tucked away, now a family doesn’t have to pretend they are a different people. Now we can state were Kurdish, now we can state were Kurdish without fear of persecution or imprisonment. No more sorrow, no more sadness, no more worrying about putting food on the table or survival.
Kurdistan now independent stretches from Kirkuk to Amed, from Luristan to Qamlisho. Kurmanji is united with Zazaki, Sorani is united with Fayli, Hewrami is united with Badini. We are at one, we are at peace. As a band of brothers and sisters that can never be broken; not in ten years, not in thousand years. The treaty of Lausanne that enabled those fake borders to be setup in 1923 no longer exists. A Nationalist Republic for all Kurds from all parts has been established, solely elected by and for the people. Its aim is to maintain the peace, to increase prosperity; both in terms of social prosperity (happiness/welfare) and economic prosperity. The so called “disputed” areas fully under Kurdish administrative control, areas such as Mandali, Luristan and the Van. Areas that have been Kurdish from centuries, now the Kurdish inhabitants of those regions no longer have to put up the false flags of the enemy. External forces that wish to penetrate Kurdistan and damage the old and new institutions can no longer do so. Kurdistan remains Kurdistan, the Kurdish people remain Kurdish. ‘Greater Kurdistan’ is achieved, the enclaves of Kurds living outside ‘Greater Kurdistan’ return to their ancestral homeland. The enemy never dares lift a finger upon us again.

Kurdish (Fayli dialect): Kurdistan halî nêmerdiges. Xwarêga halî emînî, halî neçûwges. Kurd û Kurdistan, dûjmenman çûges. Arab nekerdênesman, Tûrk nekerdênesman, îranî nekerdênesman. Halî Kurd menîmnês, zwanman û xwinman.
