The ideal solution for housing returning refugees in Turkey

Syrian refugees:

All of them have lost family members during the fighting

They have also lost friends and members of their communities

They have lost their homes, many have been turned into rubble

They have lost their lands, business, jobs, cars etc

They have lost personal belongs, irreplaceable photos and documents

They have lost peace of mind

They have lost their dignity and self respect

In order to save their lives refugees fled to Turkey

These poor unfortunate people thought they had found safety

BUT NO

Many were forced to live in tented camps that are freezing in winter and flood every time there is heavy rain

Too few toilets and showers and never enough food to eat

At least many managed to remain close to other family members or friends

After losing so much the support of family members is extremely important

But that things were even worse

They suffered abuse and insults from the local Turks

When the conditions in Turkey became totally unbearable

They risk their lives attempting to reach safety in the EU

Often losing contact with friends and family during their travels

Every single person making the perilous crossing from Turkey into Greece, was related to knew people who had died attempting the same journey

But such was their fear and loathing of TURKEY that they choose to risk their very lives to be free

And what does the world intend to do with these unfortunate people:

Many who have reached the EU live in squalid conditions totally unsuitable the babies, children, disabled, elderly and sick

Those who reach the comparative safety of refuge camps and generally shunted from camp to camp never knowing what will happen to them next

But next for them is the waiting, months of waiting

After which many of them might be returned to Turkey

Or sent via Turkey back into Syria

For those needing accommodation in Turkey I have just thought of the ideal solution

A vast modern building currently unoccupied

An amazing number of well equipped massive rooms

Surrounded by beautiful countryside

A really idea place for refugees to relax in and start to recover
