For many months now facebook has been deleting accounts that are not in a real name

This has been a gradual process but on 1 January facebook is updating it's "Terms and Policies"

Part of those terms and policies will include the the necessity for accounts to be in the name of a genuine person

It is thought that facebook might bring in a system whereby proof - such as passport details - might be required for new accounts

I imagine that anyone who uses a newly set-up email account may well require further proof of identity

Do YOU have any details or thoughts on this ?

Sandrine Alexie is not my real name but my writer's. Facebook does not know it but really if they delete my account, I won't give a damn
