Btw, I have just finished a good novel about Angola and Portuguese, by José Eduardo Agualusa : Teoria geral do esquecimento, in which it was given a mice definition of 'halfblood : 'erased borders'; I have read it in French, 'frontiers effacées', so I don't know how it sounds in Portuguese :
