YES I am back

My internet connection was BUGGED

Whoever it was could not gain access to my computer but my system told me that someone was trying to take control of my internet connection

Then my internet went down

It has taken BT well over a week to solve the problem and even the engineer who spent most of the morning with me - had NO idea what was wrong - he said that he had NEVER come across anything such as this before

First they thought the problem was my end

After a few days they thought the problem was in the exchange

But nobody could solve it

The engineer said he thought that I should go to the police

Cable was replaced

New connections were made throughout almost the entire length of my link

Then like magic it was back again

The engineer had no idea how it happened

BT phoned me to apologise that my connection was still down - they themselves did not realise my connection had returned - very odd

Whatever happened switched on my wireless connection - I NEVER use wireless for security reasons

HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD PROBLEMS?

It was a serious hardware technical fault, which the engineer knew it but didn't tell you just to buy time until repaired. Police can not do anything about things like that. So there was no sense for him to tell to go to police.

Hhmmm, very interesting and it is almost unbelievable.

I use wireless – like all IKP – and we had had no problems or if MIT and Iranian services are spying us they do it without causing troubles


Perhaps you have been attacked by hackers from Grey Wolves or PKK.

My internet was only running for about an hour before in went again - it has only just come back this evening - it has taken an assortment of engineers more than a week to get it running - one of the engineers actually advised me to contact the police

Did you try to connect with other navigator than firefox ?

I did better than that - I used different computers as well as different browsers

BT replaced several different parts of their system and checked everything - then it just came on - someone is messing with my internet

This sounds as you have a virus on your computer but you used a different computer. But it doesn't make sense for BT not to know the fault. They must know the fault but why they pretend they don't. The fault could be because they are doing a major work on that line and because have not given advance warning they pretend they don't know to buy time.

VIRUS ON MY COMPUTER NEVER

I use Penguin Power

I was the ONLY person to have the fault

It lasted for about 10 days - giving me just over an hour online last Monday before it vanished again

Assorted teams replaced different parts and connectors all along the fibreoptic system

I have an assortment of desktops - laptops - netbooks - 9 at the last count - not one of them has ever had a virus

My Internet went down again this morning and has only just come back on so thought I would wish everyone

Before my system goes for good never more to return

According to BT they have replaced almost everything along the entire length of my fibre-optic broadband connection

They are coming back tomorrow to try again - nobody has any idea where the fault is - or what is causing the fault

Is there anyone reading this who has any thoughts on what has happened to my broadband

Saturday night I went out

I came back - no internet

It has just come back on again - I phoned BT and told them exactly what I though of them

Am I the only person here who has such problems?

This evening my internet keeps crashing - time BT employed people with brains - I want my broadband working properly - I pay enough for it - this fibre-optic service with free phone calls to landlines cost me about £50 each month
