I was particularly thinking about 3 different men. They all are from Turkey. I will show a couple of pictures and you might be able to look at the traits.

Kivircik Ali ( Born in the Turkish city of Tokat) He reminds me of Ahmet Kaya.

The only one who I would say for certain is a Kurd is Yavuz Bingol, Kivircik Ali could be a Kurd if his roots were in the south and Kemal Sunal looks more Arab to me but hey what do I know I am ENGLISH :ymdevil:

As far as I know, Kemal Sunal has some Balkan origin and he does also look very Balkanic (especially Romanian like).

I have met several Kurds from Northern Kurdistan who claim that they are TURKISH :-o

There could be reasons for that: We all know the way Kurds have been treated :((

Many Kurdish people within Turkey were made to feel ashamed to be Kurdish. Kurdish people have problems finding jobs in the tourist and commercial areas of Turkey. Many Kurds living in Istanbul live in the poorest parts of the city and receive a very POOR standard of education. Often Kurdish people living in those areas are looked down on by the Turkish population and experience racism.

It is a TERRIBLE TRUTH but to some Kurds the only way they could escape the poverty trap was to deny their Kurdish roots :((

Fortunately, as many more Kurdish people learn about their culture and history they are becoming PROUD KURDS :ymparty:
