Good point! I liked the speech, but pointing it on palestinians was completly meaningless.

Who are the "Arabs"? Those living in Lebanon? Syria? Jordan? Egypt? They don't operate as one unit.

Honestly the only Arab government that really has bad relations with Israel consistently in the past thirty years is Syria. Wikileaks cables have shown that Arab states from Egypt to Saudi Arabia are actually more concerned about Iran than they are about Israel. The popular "mood" among the citizens in these countries might be different, but their governments are largely neutral towards Israel.

Finkelstein isn't alone among Jews outside or inside Israel. They criticize Israel government policy much in the same way some Turks in Turkey have criticized government policy towards the Kurds. It only means more war and violence, more human rights violations (such as kicking people off their land to make more settlements). A Palestinian state would actually be legally relevant to Kurdistan, much in the same way Kosovo was welcomed by KRG. It gives us a lesson on what works and what doesn't, and will make our own disengagement from an occupying government all the more easier.

I must also point out that even despite Turkey's recent feuds with Israel, their military ties used to be very strong, particularly in the air force. The same one that bombed Kurds in NK and PKK back in the 80s was enabled by Israeli arms industry as much as it was by the United States and other countries during that time.

Palestinians aren't good allies of Kurds (second israel nonsense they spout about KRG), but Israel only seeks Kurds as pawns, the same way they saw it in 75 when they left peshmerga dry in order to normalize relations with Iraq.

agreed. never trust them, israel and usa are not better as our enemys. they will always sell us kurds for "$$$" and their own interrests.
the right way is to be neutral to all countrys (thats politic) and use their interests for the kurdish interests and never forget, we have no friends besides the mountains.
