Such a great great movie. Robert Altman was directly inspired by Jean Renoir in Gosford Park (a pretty good movie also). Too bad that the English subtitles do not restitute the salt of all that 40's French language, what we call 'gouaille' : though it is hard to translate 'l'esprit parisien', in English it could be a mix of Oscar Wilde theater and Dickens heroes 's language.

I am beginning to read The Wandering Falcon and the heroes, 2 lovers who ran away are "Siahpads from Killa Kurd".

I wonder if it is an imaginary tribe, invented for the story, or if a tribe in Afghanistan has this name, and if it is linked with Kurdish Afghanis.

I am still trying hard to get to 65,000 in Mah Jong - anything above 60,000 and either my hands leave my brain behind and I make too many mistakes - or my hands do not move fast enough

Chocolate helps my score - the more chocolate I eat the higher my score :o)

I can't reach more than 60 000 most of the time. I am rusty…

These days were busy with a bunch of charming Kurdistani people, we visit Paris :

http://sohrawardi.blogspot.fr/2013/09/a ... de-la.html

The funny thing is that young Kurds now are delicate urban people : soon tired, afraid of everything (dogs, Black Africans, pigeons), while the older Kurdistani like Monsignore Rabban from Amadiyya-Zakho is able to walk nine hours and climb up the 300 steps of Tour Eiffel.

Kurdish race is weakening

Today, autumn is coming : 16ºc.
Holidays are finished, work starts again.
Everybody find that I am thinner, I see no change in my mirror.
I have am exhibition about History of Kurdish singers to launch and I have not to slightest idea about how to do but even the KRG France published an announcement
