The TelegraphCadbury's drops two chocolate Fingers from packs
Packs of Cadbury's Chocolate Fingers have apparently been reduced by 11g
A pack of Cadbury’s Fingers never lasts long – but you may find the chocolate treats disappear even more quickly than usual from your cupboards now, as the firm has removed two Fingers from its boxes.
Packs of the biscuits have been cut by 11g, which equates to around two fingers, to a new weight of 114g, the Daily Mail reported.
Faced with escalating cocoa and production costs, many confectioners have reduced the sizes of their snacks in recent years, though the price often stays the same.
Cadbury’s provoked outrage earlier this year when its multi-packs of six Creme Eggs were replaced with boxes of five.

Although labelled as a Cadbury product, Fingers are made under license by a Saint Albans-based company, Burton’s Biscuit Company. Over a billion of the biscuits, which were launched in 1951, are consumed in the UK every year.
Burton’s told the Dail Mail that the wholesale price of the packs has been reduced to reflect the fact there were now 22 Fingers instead of 24, but it is usually at shops’ discretion whether to change their own prices. A spokesman for the company told the Telegraph that the company would issue a statement on the matter later today.
In 2012, the Office of National Statistics (ONS) revealed that British chocolate bars had been reduced by around 10 per cent in just one year while prices remained the same, leading the ONS to warn that customers were facing inflation “by the back door”.
Although rising costs are commonly cited as the reason for such reductions, some confectionery companies also claim to be trying to fight obesity. Last year, chocolate giant Mars shrunk its Mars and Snickers bars as part of pledge to cut the calorie content of its single-serve products to a maximum of 250 calories.
