Any Kurdish politician who does not fully support the Kurdish cause in all parts of Kurdistan is not worth a dime .

ERBIL, May 28 (AKnews) - Miss Kurdistan will be chosen during a one-month festival in Erbil, which kicks off on June 18.

nadir rosteThe spokesman for the General Authority for Tourism in the region said the festival will be called Hala (Welcome) Erbil.

Nader Rosty said the festival will be held by the General Authority for Tourism in cooperation with Lebanon company SNR to show tourism conditions in Kurdistan.

The festival will include many activities, such as the presentation of 12 different awards among citizens who purchase from one of the Erbil markets, as well as a draw to win a car.

During the period a special program will be presented on a satellite channel about marketing tourism, in addition to presenting an advertisement 12 times a day on that channel.

The festival will also include electing Miss Kurdistan, under the supervision of Miss Britain and Poland, while a foreign committee will evaluate the participants according to Kurdish customs and traditions. The girls wishing to participate in the competition must visit the General Authority for Tourism in the region."

"The establishment of such a festival is an important step in order to inform the states and foreign tourists about the tourism sector and tourist areas in the Kurdistan Region," said Rosty.

The region includes a large number of resorts and tourist areas. Every year the region hosts tens of thousands of Iraqis and foreigners in resorts such as Shaqlawa, Quli Ali Bek, Zawita, Solaf, Srzinar Ahmdaoa, Dukan and Sarsank.

We have many beautiful kurdish girls who could even enitre in MISS IRAQ beauty pageant and then to be sent to other interational beauty pageants like MISS WORLD and MISS UNIVERSE.

However I have heard that the contestnant are going to wear also swimwear in the pageant. Don't know how many kurdish women in Erbil are allowed to wear things like that...but I am sure it's going to be difficult to find. But I hope the one who wins is worth the crown
