Our posts crossed =))

I much prefer the link from your post:

Fiery red hair, pale skin, and eyes of blue or green. These are the defining characteristics of some of the most amazingly attractive human beings in existence. They were once held as being holy as they were believed to have stolen the very fire of the Gods and imbued their crimson locks with it. Kiss A Ginger Day is your opportunity to steal a kiss from one of these amazingly attractive genetic rarities

I admit that I was cute when I was younger and slimmer :ymdevil:

On Kiss a Ginger Day, 9 special things to know about redheads

;;) :) ;) :ymblushing: :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*

Redheads really are different in many ways from those who have more conventional hair color.

They represent only 2 percent of humans, which makes them stand out in a crowd.

But gingers are different in other ways as well.

So t celebrate Kiss a Ginger Day, January 12, here are some of those facts.

People with red hair are more likely to have brown eyes than blue eyes.

Not just red hair, but pale skin and freckles are due to a recessive gene, MC1R.

On average, redheads have fewer hairs on their heads than blonds or brunettes.

Western Europe has the highest concentration of redheads. Scotland's population is 13 percent ginger and Ireland is 10 percent redhead.

King Henry VIII of Great Britain, as well as his daughter Elizabeth I, had red hair.

Traditionally, the Biblical King David and Mary Magdalene are depicted as having red hair.

People with red hair have a higher pain threshold. They may require as much as 20 percent more anesthesia and have more sensitive teeth than most.

They also may be more sensitive to cold.

Nope, they're not witches. apart from ME :ymdevil:

Blue eyes, freckles that come out every summer, VERY white skin so do not need make-up in order to look like a Goth, when younger bright orange-ginger hair thankfully faded to a much more subtle colour but I coloured my hair a lot :D

I was weird looking :ymdevil:

I looked much better when I had bright pink hair - I was sometimes mistaken for Zandra Rhodes

Sadly, due to 'POLITICAL CORRECTNESS' people in the UK are afraid to tell the truth

It is not about a truth. It is about how to use your words to tell the truth. You can use the same true story to cause world war or world peace simply by how to tell it.

A king asked two dream interpreters to interpret his dream of losing all his teeth. One of them told him the dream meant all his families and relatives would die before him. The other one said: "God has blessed you with a long life. You will live longer than the rest of the people near to you". The king ordered beheading the first dream interpreter and rewarding the second one.

I will have to be more careful when I interpret dreams :ymdevil:

But point taken - I go for facts when and if possible :D

Today is sunny as a spring time in Duhok. Some kids have just t-shirt and flip flop.

Saw also a girl (16-17) wearing a mini-mini-skirt on tight-tights but covering head and shoulders a HUGE hijeb :-? 8-} 8-}

I imagine the furious discuss with her family :

PARENTS : – Are you going to show your legs to all Duhok ? WHORE !
DAUGHTER : – Ok, ok, I wear a hijeb also, then.
PARENTS : – Good girl.

I still say that Kurds are mixed up when it comes to Islam =))

My example:

The Kurdish lessons, which have been taking place in Croydon for MANY years, closed down due to lack of funding

Not only were the class important for the children, they were also, extremely important for the wives/mothers, for whom it was their only chance to meet with other wives. The ladies greatly enjoyed their once a week get together

The supposedly good Muslim men - many of whom speak fluent Kurdish - would not help to run the classes themselves without being paid, even though many do not work on a Saturday

So the children do without their lessons and the poor wives sit at home feeling miserable X(

These same men spend almost the entire day on Fridays praying and saying how good they are

I got ANGRY - I am not a Muslim but even I know that part of the Islamic beliefs emphases doing something charitable

Then I pointed out that the VAST MAJORITY of supposedly Muslim Kurds, smoke, and said that all the men whose wives and children use the Kurdish classes, should donate the price of ONE packet of cigarettes towards running classes :D
