If I say I'm Kurdish, would they do anything?

no, what should they do ? :-D
maybe they would be angry, if its a racist but never say you are for PKK

but i never was asked, so its better if you avoid to say you are a kurd, maybe they would let you wait and make problems in the airport

Lol well if they ask my ethnicity then I will reply. I don't know I thought they will beat you up or something. Well tbh I don't think there is much of a price difference if I go through Turkey, it will still be similar price. Maybe slighlty cheaper, but nothing major.

Do not worry , no one will question you and even if they do try to enjoy it . You are who you are and there is no point in denying it .
Fly to istabule and from there there are reqular daily flights to Amed (Diyarbekir ) which cost around 100 dollars . From Amed to Zaxo is around 4 hours by Taxi which cost around 100 dollars . Buses are HORRIBLE and I will advice not to take them .

Keep in mind Kurdistan is very expensive now , so you will need 2000 dollars a month if you want to have an ok tripe . I'm serious here :-D

So is it from London to Amed or London to Istanbul, then to Amed? I don't know man, I have a feeling if you add up the costs, it turns out the same. I'll probably just take the Erbil one, but its still early days, I still have a few more days of college.

Lol Kak Talsor I'm not scared for myself, but scared for the person questioning me, because when I'm put in positions like that I tend to... :-D Yeh highly unlikely anyone would, plus I don't know Turkish. All I pretty much know is unaniskan, a bad word related to Mothers and Gel gel.

Oh and bro my family there will pay all expesnes lol, we stay in our familes home. Well we will probably go through Khanaqin, I think my dad knows people there, then Baghdad for a abit. Anyways when we stay in Erbil it will be in a cheap hotel, nothing fancy. It was like that when I went to Isfhan in Iran, their hotels where crap and expensive, so I just went for a cheap and crap one.

use a search engine like this http://flights.idealo.co.uk/
could help, when will you fly?

if you fly in september its a very big vary to fly firstly to diyarbekir with one layover, then via car or taxi to hawler. so you can safe hundreds of pfounds by more persons.

but if you fly in august, their are some flights to hawler which are better, or the same. for example this
http://flights.idealo.co.uk/result/AcfGQ/

i think flights to turkey during the summer (because of holiday season) are very expensive, turkey is a holiday country its normal, but when you dont fly in holiday times, its better via turkey.

No, they won't. I went two times via Amed and then by car and everytime someone asked my ethnicity, I said that I was Kurdish. Nobody made a problem out of it, the pilot of the airplane even let me take a look in the cockpit and he knew I am kurdish. At the airports I have never encountered problems. By the way, if you travel with turkish airlines, you should speak kurdish to the flight attendants , I did that last time . Let them figure out what you're saying.

But I always travel to hawler via Istanbul by airplane, that costs about 700 euros per person. You could go via Amed, but I prefer avoiding travelling by car as it isnt very comfortable.
