Now, I honestly think the composition of our flag is beautiful and the 4000-years old Hurrian sun makes me proud to call this my nation's flag. But I really hate the commonly used tints in the flag shown above. Aren't bright, smashing colors commonly associated with uncivility and barbarism? Our neighbours might like to present us to the world as a bunch of primitive and backward bandits, but we know better. We are not wild savages, unlike the "civilized" Armenians and Assyrians who satisfied their bloodthirsty whims on Kurds during WW1. This is why I think Kurdistan should not be represented with these eye-tiring tones. Why not make our flag consist of deep, mat colors which encompass the traditional elegant Kurdish character? That way, the Kurdish flag is really done justice to. These are some alternative flags I made with Nero:
