Because I do have a memory of a story about somebody burning down a church... And it was some people from a rock band I think... Hmm... Refresh my memory...

As already stated the vast majority of europe is atheist or at least agnostic (with exceptions such as obvious countries)...but now I forgot what the point was

I don't get why islam is being demonized just because of a few bad seeds so it makes me angry because it feels like giving dawah, or even just explaining is a hopeless cause. Muslims, as a whole, are some of the most wonderful and loving people I have ever encountered.

In no way am I attacking Muslims, nor the religion, I have too many friends to be who are Muslim to be a bigot..

A very good friend of mine dated (and still dates) the lead singer in Gorgoroth...

And yes, I remember a church being burnt in Åsane - by some black metal band member... Fantoft stave church was 200 meters from where I lived during my stay in Fantoft Student City... They've restored it since the burning, I guess...

So there's nothing special about that in Islam... And Êzidîsm also, likewise considers non-Êzidîs as "lesser"...

What you say is very true, and I never denied any of these. The Torah is possibly the most Xenophobic, Homophobic, racist book, ever written when approached in a litteral context. Paul of the New Testament(injeel) could very well be seen as a sexist, who seem to favor men over woman. Possibly he was a celibate(sp) homosexual. Most Ezidi I have talked to have a lot of respect for other religions, They do look at them selves as better then the rest, but not to the same extent that everyone who is not born a Ezidi is going to hell. Yes possibly the religion that is the most peaceful are the Jains of India, where it is forbidden to eat Potatoes because you kill the plant. pretty much they only eat fruit that naturally falls on it's own.

Yes, I see what you mean - but the majority of true Muslim, Christian and Jewish people I have met have been very sincere and kind people... Likewise I am sure that the majority of humanity is good natured... Wether they believe in God or Angels or Heaven and Hell or none of the parts...

There is a minority of evil and ill-intentioned persons in this world... But a large number of egoistic and self-centered people reside in the "West", due to their luxurious and pampered life styles...

I think the Jains are going too far... I can understand a vegetarian - but I can't understand a vegan (well I understand them, but I can't see the logic)... Let alone a Jain...

Well Vegans do have a point, that cows and Chickens are still treated bad. Most of the hens get killed. Cows for dairy get killed once they are done, and calfs are often reserved for veal. Jains do drink milk though

I admire the Jains because they seem to be the least hypocritical, as they go out of their way to practice Ahisma(no violance)

I agree with what you say, I have never met a Jew proclaim his Jewish supiority, No muslim friend of mine has ever called me a kafir, and christians who don't preach are usually good people.

He lives in a town that is deserted, it's a family town. From kindergarden to Highschool, he only had one school mate. His school mate commited suicide at the age of 18. So yea, I would say he is a little cold in the heart

Seen from your point of view, it should smoothen out your opinion a little.

(I, as a muslim, has a completely different opinion of the whole matter and believe the bible has been edited over time causing it to be unrealiable alltogether - but that's beside the point )

I just don't like this campaign, because that rapper is a believer himself. I don't see a difference between christianity, islam and judism. Bible is not much different from Qu'ran. So why proclaim Islam is a religion of hate.

No Vladimir, I became a muslim when I was apart from my husband, so he has had nothing to do with it. He has, many times, been reluctant towards teaching me about islam and has eg. asked me not to fast this ramadan. He also does not want me to wear hijab so in fact I'm the practicing party in our relationship. When we lived together before he was drafted to the turkish army, he was not practicing his religion as well and it was I who encouraged him to do it sometimes, even though I was not a muslim myself at the time.

Now I know that some women of other cultures convert when they marry a muslim but that's blasphemic, if somene doesn't have the right iman, they are not muslim. It's really simple. Muslim men can marry women of the book, and besides no one should convert unless they have the right intention in their heart and believes in the six articles of faith. That's what islam says so the whole practice of converting without a genuine iman is actually bidah.

I've met him... He's alright... And he lives in Bergen - has been for the last years... I never heard of that story though (living in deserted town etc.)...

He's not realy "cold" just because of that, Sicpit... Norwegians are like that - the whole gang - I mean they live isolated lives and if hardly mingle with new people - usually sticking to their own circles... It's only in the larger places that people will interact whole heartedly with strangers... Norwegians, and most Scandinavians, are practical by nature and down to earth... They're stubborn... They're cold and stiff...

This is just generally speaking - there are of course plenty of warm and social Norwegians... But not so many realy, compared to the larger amount of stiff and cold ones...
