Welcome KCF, I am not Yezidi but I know the Peacock Angel very well. My beliefs are very similar to Hindu and Yezidi. God bless you man...

Do you believe God is all or do you believe God is one? Just asking, I love to talk about religion in a productive manner.

I think like how Hindu spread to the west, and formed their own sects such as Iskon and many other New age, Thus shall I spread Ezidi to the west. Hindu also has a caste, and traditional Hindu you can not convert into. However in the west sects have appeared where non Hindu's have been practicing the same or almost the same religion just with out a caste. My goal is to Lalish and learn many of the traditions and rituals, that words alone can't describe.

God willing of course

Wish you a safe trip... :)

And it's a good idea, as it would spread Kurdish culture and folklore, in the name of Kurds... Make sure to stress this, please... So many of our enemies steal our culture and call it theirs... :(

Yes a mix between Vedic and Kurdish culture, basically a mix of Aryan( I don't mean as in race) religions.

No no - that will never do...

Either it's Kurdish or it's not... :?

Patriotic as I am - I wouldn't like my culture to be even more abstracted by Vedic or other cultures...

People (in the world) don't even have a clear idea of what "Kurdish" is - let alone will they ever learn if we keep mixing it up with this or that...

lol... So I need your blessing to form my own congregation thousands of miles a way...
Diri my beliefs don't come from just one culture, so If I were to start a religion bassed on what I believe, then it would have to include Vedic traditions as well. Although I do plan on at least learning enough Kurmanci to read qawals as well as any prayers devoted to Tausi Melek would be in Kurmanci. Kurds have no problem adapting iranian culture, so I do not see why Vedic should be an issue.

I know what you mean, I think though that their is enough influance in the west geared more towards Vedic traditions. If I could live in Kurdistan for a given amount of time I would be more likely to form an authenitic worship that is Ezidi. See how Hindu spread to the western converts were either by Indians themselves, or from people living the culture in India or other heavily hindu regions of Asia. I would love to live like a Ezidi/Sufi in any region of Kurdistan
