US attacks on Syria in defense of US citizens at home, Biden ordered strikes on Syria -10,000+ km away - in 'self-defense'

US President Joe Biden claims that his aggression on Syria, a country across the planet from the United States, is in "defense of US citizens at home."

US President Joe Biden ordered several airstrikes on Syria, violating the country's sovereignty and committing yet another act of aggression on the republic it has been ravaging for over a decade.

The US occupation forces in Syria said early Wednesday they carried out airstrikes in eastern Syria on areas it claimed are used by groups linked to the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), which CENTCOM said, "took proportionate, deliberate action intended to limit the risk of escalation and minimize the risk of casualties."

"At my direction, on August 23, 2022, United States forces conducted precision strikes against a facility in eastern Syria," Joe Biden said Thursday in a letter to Congress informing the body of the action.

"The facility was used by militia groups affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that have been involved in a series of unmanned aerial vehicle, rocket, and mortar attacks against United States personnel and facilities in Syria," the Democrat claimed, though his forces' presence in Syria is illegitimate.

In his statement to Congress, Biden claimed that "Iranian-backed forces" carried out two attacks on August 15, 2022, that targeted the US occupation forces in Al-Tanf Garrison and the Green Village site.

"These August 15 attacks followed a series of attacks by Iran-backed militia groups on U.S. forces and facilities in Iraq and Syria in the last 6 months. These attacks have threatened the lives of United States and Coalition personnel," Biden claimed.

The US President then further claimed that his order to jeopardize the lives of innocent Syrian civilians came to "protect United States citizens both at home and abroad" despite Washington illegitimately being in a country across the planet.

"The United States took this necessary and proportionate action consistent with international law, and in the exercise of the United States’ inherent right of self-defense as reflected in Article 51 of the United Nations Charter," Biden alleged.

The "self-defense" in question could be in defense of the oil field the United States is constantly plundering and looting.

Deir Ezzor is a highly important region for the US occupation forces, as it lies on the borders with Iraq and contains vast oil fields.

The Syrian Oil Ministry revealed earlier this month that the US occupation forces loot the majority of Syria's oil, knowing that the daily production of the eastern oil fields is 80.3 thousand barrels.

The actions carried out by the United States constitute state piracy with the aim of plundering Syria's oil resources and depriving the Syrians of their own resources amid a harsh economic situation caused largely by the occupiers, the Americans themselves.

Earlier Wednesday, the US, being an occupation in the area and with repeated attacks on the country, had launched airstrikes in Syria, targeting what it claimed was infrastructure used by "Iran-backed" groups.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani strongly condemned the US military's recent attack on the Syrian people and infrastructure in a statement issued on Wednesday, calling it a violation of Arab sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity.

The US military's new aggression against the Syrian people was a terrorist act against popular groups and fighters opposing the occupation, he added, denying any connection between them and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The presence of US military forces in parts of Syria is in contravention of international laws and constitutes occupation and a violation of Syria’s national sovereignty, the Spokesperson stated, stressing that the US must leave Syria and stop plundering the Arab country’s oil and grain.

The United States has been for years supporting militias against Damascus, and the US-backed forces are currently occupying parts of the provinces of Al-Haskah, Deir Ezzor, and Raqqa, where the largest Syrian oil and gas fields are located.

The US launched mid-day a new attack on Deir Ezzor, marking its second US attack in a row on Syria, following the first earlier on Tuesday.

In response to the attack, two separate missiles targeted a US occupation base in the Koniko gas field, northeast of the Syrian province, which the US Central Command announced in a statement. Three US occupation soldiers were injured in the attack.
