Does anyone know nice kurdish movies about children?

PostAuthor: bleu ciel » Wed Sep 08, 2010 1:20 am

Hi, all
long time no see. I am so glad to see you all fine.
Yesterday I saw a very nice movie accidently, the title was "heaven's children 2". I don't know which language they speak but it is abviously made in middle east.. but one thing I can tell is that it is not kurdish.. I have kurdish friends, so at least I know how it sounds like.
The movie was so touching.. the children were so innocent, so pure.. In these days I hardly can find such pure-hearted children. During I watched it, I felt like my heart was being filled with some warm clean water.
If there is anyone who knows this kind of kurdish movie, please can you post the site? oh! it should be translated in English..
zor supas take care all you guys

Hi Bleu Ciel!

As Talsor said, can be a good idea about create a Film section on the forum.. cause I've founded lot of links with nice movies.. for example A Time for Drunken Horses... U can take a view about some posts here... or directly on youtube... My favorite kurdish movie is: Turttles can fly, and its easy to find on internet too :)... Both includes children...

I've just finished two films you recommended. Thank you so much for posting such good films.. Sus. 'Turtles can fly' made me tears.. I expected happy ending during the whole time I was watching it but it wasn't. so I felt sort of blue after I watched it. dear Sus, I have question about the film " a time for drunken horses", did the boy reach Iraq at the last scene? The ending music sounded hopeful, I guess, so I think he reached Iraq where he can have his brother be operated. When you read this, can you answer the question?
And the movies gave me a big help understand Kurd better. Zor supas :D

There is a new film coming out soon called The First Movie, which is about Kurdish children.

I am going to a press screening of the film next week in London and will write a review for KurdMedia.com, so keep your eyes peeled! It looks really good and has had amazing reviews:

Hi!!...
Im sorry for delay...

Im glad your comments dear, and about your question, I think he got it... his brother could live much more with the operation. I must tell u, Bahman Ghobadi is the director of both movies, and he use to recreate the familiar relations, and the sacrifice to protect family,... so, i guess he all the time try to show us, what a kud family is... during this movie he was getting back to Kurdistan and he asked people to help him on the movies... this children are not actors, they are real kurds. Even they r not actors, they can share this feeling of love... doesnt it?

Have a nive day!

Thank you sooooo much for answering my question and also your generous explaination about the background of the movies. It helps me understand much more about the films. And if you know more kurdish movies, I hope you post them.
You live in Mexico which is located the opposite side of Earth (from Korea, of course  ), but I got good imformation from you.. Amazing, isn't it?
:D :D :D You, too, have a good day and take care.

Best wishes for your Aniversary! hopfully kurdish people will soon have the chance to celebrate this as well. but your contry is one more proof that independence is possible - for everyone! Like "russian republics" get out of russian hegemony, like poland get out of 3 countries occupation (which lasted more than 120 years), like a lot of british and french colonies - i hope Kurdistan will get out of occupiers dark shadow.

Happy Aniversery to Mexico! Piroz bet!

Hi Kukla Xan!

So much thanks for your words, jeje we were celebrated since 15th sept,.. and as u said, as your country and mine fighted was not easy to get an independency, I think it's only a new beggining, I trust in kurds, but I all my hope is about Kurdistan will be able to drive itself to a very proud and intellgent work for getting better and better, to rise like a powerful country with real roots and real traditions, with people strong as they are.
