Hollywood to make movie about Barzani !

today evening the famous egyption Ali Badrkhan came to kurdistan by Hewler Airport.

he said some words in kurdish "I am Kurd and I love kurdish peopel" (peymaner says he is Kurdish origin)

the famous egyption actor, Omar Sharif will play in the movie.

the money of the movie comes from Culture minstry of KRG and it will be a common product by egypt and hollywood .

Ali bardrkhan said the aim of the movie is to make kurdish hero ,Barzani known to the world and show kurdish peoplels suffring in the way of freedom.

the movie will be made in Kurdistan.

It is a dynasty of princes. One of them had several dozens of sons, he could have grand-sons in Egypt

They published the first Kurdish newspaper from Egypt. It wouldn't be a suprisement, if he is a familymember.

After the revolt of Bedir Khan province in the 2nd part of the 19the century they have been exiled, some in Cyprus some in Egypt I think. Moreover some Kurdist intellectual and journalists went in Egypt where the regime was more tolerant (it was under Brittons' and Mehmet Ali's rule) than with ototman. I believed that a Kurdish newspaper was published in Egypt at this time.

And under Ayyubid's time, some Kurdish garrisons set in Egypt... even until Sudan ! so there are Black Kurds in Eastern Africa...

There are also Kurdish prostitutes in Egypt. They were sold to Egypt by Saddam.. I wonder what the KRG did with this.. untill now NOTHING.

Much women who were prisonners in Baathist's camps are considered as prostitutes in Kurdistan... It is not only the KRG's responsibility but all Kurd's too.

I agree that KRG should protect Saddam's victims personnally, facing the stupid moral code of tribes saying that an abused victim should pay for that. Male prisonners were often sexually abused in Baathist's jails (and Turkish too) but were not expelled of their society.

And concerning Omar Sharif playing Barzani's character, what a silly thing ! Physically Barzani was a stout, authentic Kuridsh mountainer ! not like that elegant Egyptian. And Omar sharif is a bit old too. Or will he play only Mollah Mustafa's last months ?

I would rather that a Kurd will play Barzani. There are some things (way of walking, gestures) that an Arab could not play as a Kurd. And in which language the movie will be broadcast ? Arabic ?

Most of these Kurdish princes, as any Ottoman elite spoke and wrote a perfect French, better than many French native... I read some documents sometimes, it is impressive.

by the way we kurds are moving forward in a good speed, I can see Kurdish cinema will soon be more known to the world than Iranian one.

iran currectly has one of the most powerfull cinemas of the world [in artificial movies not in bussines movies] but poor iranians has been waiting like 10-12 years so a forigener make a movie about Cyrus or Ayatollah khomeyni but no forigen dirctor wants to do it.

As somebody living in Iran... How would YOU know whether or not Iranian cinema is "iran currectly has one of the most powerfull cinemas of the world "? Let me just tell you that NEVER has there been a Iranian film in Scandinavia - at most I expect that Cannes or some other filmfestival has had some Iranian films - but then again - they also take in films from North Korea, Colombia, Papa Nygunea etc...

honestly iran has good movie directors , like majid majidi , makhmalbaf,abbas kia rostami , ... they have several times recived CAN and other famous awards .
