Turkish Forces Kill Senior PKK Member
In an operation conducted in the western Kurdish city of Qamishlo, Turkish forces “neutralized” a senior female member of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), as reported by Anadolu news agency
Fatima Sakena, also known as Sorkhun Rojhelati, joined the PKK in 2006 in Rojava and had actively engaged in armed activities, notably in 2010 and 2012 in Şırnak.
Sakena played a major role in the PKK's armed operations in Şırnak on September 2, 2012, resulting in the deaths of 10 Turkish soldiers.
