MOSUL, Northwest Iraq,— A security source in Mosul in Nineveh province revealed Monday, that a car bomb targeted a Kurdish Yazidi citizen’s wedding tent in Tilkaif district as it has left material losses only, pointing out that the search for another car bomb is taking place as other intelligence reports confirm its presence in the region.
The source, who asked anonymity, told Shafaq News, that “the wedding tent that was installed since Sunday for a Yazidi citizen in Tilkaif district (20 km north of Mosul) was targeted on Monday morning by a car bomb that exploded, leaving large material damage in the surrounding buildings. "
"The explosion did not result any human casualties as no one was hurt in the incident”.
The source noted that "security alert and strong measures have been taken in order to find the car bombs and prevent its detonation to protect the lives of citizens", adding that "the police forces and Kurdish security forces (Asayish) are participating in the search for the other car bomb."

While a security source revealed on Monday in Mosul, that five people were killed and ten others were wounded from Kurdish Shabak citizens, when a car bomb in Khazna town affiliated to Mosul exploded in Nineveh province.
The source said "A car bomb was parked on the road in Khazna town (20 kilometers east of Mosul in Nineveh province) exploded in the early hours of Monday morning, causing the death of five people and the injury of ten others “.
The source noted that "civil defense teams and ambulances rushed to the scene and evacuated the dead and injured to nearby hospitals," adding that "security forces cordoned off the area around the incident and launched a search campaign for those involved."
On November 1, 2008, hundreds of Iraq’s Shabak people took to the streets in Mosul-Ninewa calling for including them in Iraq’s autonomous Kurdistan region, according to a local official.
