Ala Talabani, a Kurdish MP on the Kurdistani bloc on PUK's party, announced today that Maliki wants to wage a war on Kurdistan.

Ala Talabani regarding the recent arms purchases by Maliki announced "Nouri Maliki has signed an armed contract with Russia and Czech that can be used in desert and mountain areas, we believe they are to be used against the Sunnis and Kurds therefore we refuse these contracts".

She said "these contract must be under strict jurisdictions of the parliament and there must be investigations carried out regarding them".

What are we waiting for? Better declare independence now and fight the fight or wait until Tikriti buys more weapons to invade kurdistan. I hope our leaders declare independence newroz 2013 and mass mobilise the peshmerga and people . The planning should start right now for the event. The chauvnist racist arabs will never be partners only invaders and child murderers

Call for Maliki explain disseminating military vehicles in Kirkuk, Kurdish MP

BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: Kurdish MP Ashwaq al-Jaf called Iraqi Commander-in-Chief Nouri al-Maliki to explain "besieging Kirkuk with military forces, tanks and artillery".

She pointed out that terrorism combating is not done by tanks and artillery, but by intelligence information and pre-emptive strikes.

In a statement, copy received by Aswat al-Iraq, Jaf called President Jalal Talabani, a constitution protector, to stop the dissemination of these forces around Kirkuk.

She added that the people rejected "militarizing the city that will affect the reconciliation process among it is components".
