Following the demands of the hunger strikers, both the French Green Party has shown their support for the release of Ocalan.

And also the CPT ( European Comitte for prevention of torture) has shown their support for Ocalan by calling on the Turkish state to freely let Ocalan have visits from lawyers. And other demands for his health.

Serokê CPT’yê got: "Gava darazek ne adil be, mirov li rastî mûameleya xirab û hewldanên rûmeta mirov dişînin bê, astengî li pêşiya mafan hebeû, mafê herî sereke ew e ku bi parêzerên xwe re hevdîtin pêk bîne, ev mafek bivênevê ye."

Kirkuk is free, it's only the feyli populated areas (except Khanaqin) that are still under Bagdad's control.

Just about 10.000 of whom 8000 are from NK in the KCK case. So I suppose the 2000 includes around 1500 people who are ordinary Kurds with no affiliation to KCK and PKK and about 500 are PJAK inmates in mostly Iran and some in Turkey.

Poor AKP. They have no idea what so ever about what to do. They thought by being silent this would disappear. They have been mistoken about the Kurdish political will. They know that if inamtes start dying, Kurdish revolution will start. And this time BDP, PKK or Ocalan will have no control on the masses. We are talking about 10.000 hunger strikers, and another 10.000 who are ready to join today. Thats a lot of families and a lot of people being afraid for their relatives.

So far the hunger strikes have brought articles allowing Kurds to defend themselves in Kurdish in courts and articles about more regional power for Kurdish municipalities. So those who said hunger strikes do not work - think again. It might not be big steps, but it is steps. People, both Turks and delusioned Kurds, are beginning to see that Kurds are not going to give up easily and that the demands might not be too harsh either.

When I say articles I mean lawe articles, not newspaper ones. AKA its going to work in practice and Kurds wont be punished for speaking Kurdish at court as they have been up until now.

Latest news: PDKI and Komala are supporting the hunger strikers' demands.

Hewlêr (Rûdaw) – Partiya Demokrata Kurdistan a Îranê (PDK-Î) û Komeleya Şoreşgerên Zehmetkêşên Kurdistan a Îranê di daxuyaniyeke hevpar de piştgiriya xwe ya ji bo girtiyên bakurê Kurdistanê yên di greva birçîbûnê de nîşan dan.

Duh (05.11.2012) PDK-Î û Komeleya Şoreşgerên Zehmetkêşên Kurdistan a Îranê di daxuyaniyek hevpar ku kopiyeke wê ji Rûdawê re jî hatiye şandin, piştgiriya xwe ya ji bo girtiyên bakurê Kurdistanê yên di greva birçîbûnê de nîşan dan û gotin: “Em piştgiriya xwe ji bo mafên rewa yên gelê kurd li bakurê Kurdistanê û çalakiyên sivîl ên encam didin radigihînin. Herwiha em daxwaz ji hikûmeta Tirkiyê dikin ku êdî daxwazên girtiyên di grevê de piştguh nexin.”
