Clashes in Serêkaniyê in West Kurdistan - FLASH

PostAuthor: Bahoz » Mon Nov 19, 2012 1:58 pm

Two armed groups affiliated to Free Syrian Army have once again attacked the people in the city of Serêkaniyê in West Kurdistan on Monday, killing City Council President Abid Xelil and one young demonstrator. The groups were pushed out of the city following an intervention by People’s Defense Units (YPG) forces. Clashes are reported to be continuing in some areas.

According to reports received, armed groups tried to prevent the march organized in the city by High Kurdish Council which was established last July.

Two armed groups, named El Sam and Nasra, opened fire to City Council President Abid Xelil and a group of Kurdish security forces who asked them to give way to the march. Abid Xelil and a youngster died, three members of Kurdish security forces were wounded in the attack which was immediately responded by YPG forces.

Thousands of people from Dirbesiyê, Qamişlo and Amude are currently making their way to the city where many members of the armed groups are reported to have been killed in clashes with YPG forces.

Speaking about the incident, Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) Council Member Dr. Ciwan Mistefa said that the armed groups had said they wouldn’t allow entrance into the city of Serêkaniyê.

Since hundreds of members of Free Syrian Army entered the city over Turkey on 8 November, the city has been bombed several times by forces of the Syrian regime, killing at least ten civilians and wounding around 70 others in the last one week. Around 50 houses were demolished in the attacks which forced eleven thousand people migrate from the region.

A number of separate armed groups have appeared in Syria where the fight against Assad regime generally goes under the name of 'Free Syrian Army'. There isn’t an obvious true coordination among these armed groups which are active in many areas including villages. Supported by Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey, these groups aim to increase their activity in the region.

Regional states and alliances in the Middle East, Turkey in particular, have recently been resorting to threats, attacks and contra-activities to prevent and suppress the Kurdish struggle for freedom and its recent achievements in the region where they have taken power in a number of cities.

I am certain that the Turkish government is behind a lot of problems Kurds have

The stronger Kurds become in WK, SK and EK the more likely Kurds in NK are going to WAKE UP and want to join in with the Independent Country of GREAT KURDISTAN

We all know that apart from tourism much of the wealth in Turkey comes from what Turkey has STOLEN from the Kurdish land to the east X(

You talk all the time about FSA as if they were one united group. Behind FSA there are anybody : nationalists, democrats, non-democrats laicist, Jihadists, pro-SNC, anti, etc. They are no more united than Kurds in Syria, in fact and what is dominating for the moment in Syria, is chaos and anarchism.

Moreover, if PYD and YPG would have allowed to Peshmergas to enter in Western Kurdistan they would not be alone facing FSA (for FSA, YPG = Shabiha).

It's already known, that Turkey is educating Turkish and Arab Terrorists and send them to Syria to attack and kill Kurds. Many Kurds already mention this, right now at Sterk TV there are another interviews where Kurdish Civilians explain it. The Racist Turks try everything what they can to stop the Kurds and the Freedom Fight. But nobody will stop us, nobody.

that dont matter. nobody from fsa, democrat or not, is trustworthy. in the end they are all turkish puppets and arab chauvinists. now turkish agents inside fsa attacking kurds and some dogs/jashs has brought us in this situation.

PYD warnded about that, but now its to late. even peshmerga are not able to fight assads tanks and jets, so please shut up. pyd followed the right strategy when they were neutral and prevented escalation and uncontrolled uprising with mass deaths only for turkish interrests. pyd is a legitim representative of western kurds, more than 70 percent chosed them as their freedomfighters and trust them.

they do all their best to safe the peace in west kurdistan and they are very patriotic kurds, so they have also my trust

LOL, PYD is just the puppets of PKK and because of them Kurds are in danger to be seen like fiends of Baath in Syria, It is not a great success.

PYD has chosen the Baath side but it is a blind strategy. How many times Asad will stay in power ? And after the fall of Baath what will happen to Kurds in Syria ?

PYD chose the neutral side. Only anti-PKK people would fool themselves and try to fool others telling such things as you.

Go embrace your losing FSA. Terrorist lover.

anti-kurdish propaganda, nothing else. assad will fall sooner or later and with pyd`s strategy kurds will be ready.
but you would like it to see assad destroy our towns and kills our peoples. if pyd hadnt prevented the uncontrolled uprising, qamishlo would looks like homs and damascus. maybe that is what you wish for kurds

Piling, based on what you conclude that PYD is on regime side? your hateness for PKK blinded your eyes! thats how kurds are. they can kill each other but they can be like slaves and rats with our enemies! ...
who is closer to you? FSA or PKK and PYD?
kurds like you made us reach this stage and let FSA enter kurdish area because you idiots were saluting and welcoming FSA to enter kurdish area and fight YPG, and when they came and entered kurdish and the same kurdish stupid guys wanted to raise kurdish flag with FSA flag. the FSA slapped them on their FSA. they think FSA are innocent fighters like PKK ..you kurds need to see the worse from FSA so you know how it looks like.

Mod edit: I removed all the insults from your post. Take this as a slap on the wrist, the next time you'll receive a warning. May I remind you that you're free to express your views however refrain from using unnecessary words.
