SULAIMANIYAH, Kurdistan region 'Iraq',— A civil society organizations in Kurdistan Region, announced Thursday, the exposure of 163 men to violence by their wives in the region, while confirmed there were 47 suicides or murder cases in the ranks of men because due to their wives.
The secretary of Kurdistan Organization for men, Burhan Ali said in a news conference, that “ an explanation of the statistics have been prepared on the violence in the region, as I have registered at the level of Kurdistan region of Iraq in the past year , 163 cases of violence against men by their wives."
“Six cases of murdering men by their wives have been registered or by their help with 40 suicides as a result of pressures to which they were subjected."
Ali added the " Five cases of physical violence against men, 41 cases infidelity, 27 cases expulsion of old men, 48 intervention of the wife’s relatives in family affairs, 11 cases of sexual and psychological stress, 7 cases of seizure of the monthly salary of the man, 24 cases of seizure children by the wife, one case of suicide by burning, six cases of men killed by their wives and 40 cases of suicides.”
"Most suicides were carried out by weapons through the use of guns with 12 cases of strangulation and other cases using poison."
He added, "The proportion of homicides decreased compared with 2011, in which 59 cases of murder have been registered."
It is noted that this is the first statistical report published about women violence against men in Kurdistan Region, as the reports issued by some international human rights organizations have noted its concern about the situation of women in a number of countries in the region,www.ekurd.net including Iraq and Kurdistan region and urged the governments of these countries and their humanity organization on the need to address this phenomenon, while it didn’t mention anything about the violence of women against men.

Moreover it is the same in Europe : violences is not the deed of only men but abused men are often too ashamed for telling it.
