The history of Kurds in Sudan

In the time of Salahaddin Kurds were spread far ans wide but most of them such as those in the Sudan - have probably been long forgotten - and indeed long assimilated
I have always been lead to believe that a great many Kurds move into Syria at that time - as well as many other countries
