Erbil, Oct. 30 (AKnews)- Some 12 Danish companies seek to open their representative office in the Kurdistan Region, an official said Sunday.Denmark flag

This week a large and high Danish trade and industry delegation, including representatives if 12 companies landed in Erbil and met with the Kurdish officials.

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG)'s coordinator in Denmark, Dlawar Azhgayi told AKnews Sunday the delegation sought to introduce the companies to the Region as investors in agriculture, foodstuff, medical supplies and heavy industry.

He added the would-be investors do not intend only to import goods into the Region but "function in effect in the Region."

The Danish government has an honorary consulate in the Kurdistan Region and is expected to open its trade office in the Region as well.

The relatively stable security of Kurdistan has attracted 18 countries to set up their consulates in the Region. The offices above all have promoted the economic ties with the Region.

Erbil, Dec. 23 (AKnews)- The head of the survey and statistics in the Kurdistan Region’s Board of Investment said the license for constructing an industrial plant with over 1 billion U.S. Dollars has been issued recently.

Investment Committee director Haydar Mustafa, told (AKnews): the Mass Factory for Iron and Steel will be created over a 330 donums of land in Chamchamal town, a suburb of Sulaimaniya province. The project’s assets amount to $1,078,000,000.

Sulaimaniya is one of the three provinces of the Kurdistan Region, northern Iraq.

Kurdistan’s relative security comparing to the rest of the war-ravaged Iraq has become a key factor to magnetize entrepreneurs to the Region to augment the economic infrastructure of Kurdistan while granting their profits.

Erbil, Feb.2 (AKnews)- The Kurdistan Region Premier Barham Salih said Wednesday the Region can employ up to 25,000 people in 2011.

The declaration came at the sidelines of the International Symposium for Kurdistan Health System Reform, currently underway in Erbil, the Kurdistan Region capital.

The ministries of education and interior have the priority for recruiting new staff, Salih said.

The Kurdistan Region’s deputy finance and economy minister, Rasheed Tahir had told AKnews early January Kurdistan can only recruit 10,000 staff in 2011.

The general budget of the country for 2011 is estimated to be around 78.969 billion U.S. Dollars, up from $71 billion in 2010. The Kurdistan Region is entitled to 17% of the total budget. The Iraqi budget is yet to be approved.

After KRG participated with the kurdish flag in the Milano exhibition in Italy , we signed a contract with an Italian Company to built an ice cream factory in Kurdistan , said director of import and exports of KRG Mustafa Abdul Rahman.

he said KRG delegations consisted of 30 people from all 4 Provinces .

" Duhok Company signed a contract with an italian company to built an ice cream factory and they will start their work very soon".

youth ministry has announced financial support to those people who have invention skills to introduce more inventions in their works and progress as they go. there are conditions to who gets the financial support .

the applicant must have a project available and they must send their applications to the head committee:
*there details with their proposal projects
*must show the newest project for evaluations
*must be experienced in his field for at least 5 years
*must be resident of KRG
*application is open 2 times of the year for total period of 1 month each time.

I have 2 questions :
1)can u tell me about that legislation ? does that mean only Kurds can work in Kurdstan? if it is that , thats really great !! (can Kurds from Rojhelat or other parts of Kurdistan work there ?)
2)is there a lot non-Kurdish folks (Bangladeshi,Pakistani,Arab and etc.) in bashur Kurdistan ?

kurds all over the world can go and reside in south kurdistan and soon when it becomes independence many kurds will go there and apply for Kurdish citizenship and carry a Kurdish passport , this is really great and it will only make kurdistan more powerful, and KRG alone has that much wealth it can not only feed KRG but the whole middle east.

and yes only kurds are to be employed from now on even in private sector.
