I think you are making the same mistake most kurds are making . There was no such thing as "kurdish empire " in Syria . Salahdin was a great leader in the arabs /Islamic empire .

True but he was the head of it at one point, and he did have Kurds in the higher positions of the empire

Oh lol that is what you meant. I think I wrote a comment, and you responded to it, but I forgot to check back. That is why I was confused. We should have a hostipal called Cyxaraes, I'd get injured just to go to that :D

Why wouldn't I lol? That is why I think our national anthem shouldn't change. However I think the rhythm or tune should slightly change into a more warlike anthem. No offence to the Kurdish beat, but it isn't really "national anthem material".

I have to dissagree at some point. It doesn't matter what saladin fought for but he was seen as kurd and so was his family who ruled the islamic world. To example today you can see castles having names like: Hisn al Akrad, meaning the "Castle of the Kurds" or the Citadel of Aleppo, there many MORE examples. This is the influence of our past history. And we shouldn't turn our back on it but use it and be proud of it.
