SEOUL, S. Korea, — Incheon Airport has signed a three-year contract worth $9.03 million to project manage the construction of a new Duhok Airport in Kurdistan in Iraq's north.

Beginning in June this year, the South Korean company has been appointed by the Duhok Governorate – under the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) – to oversee the entire management project for three years.

The contract includes supervising the master plan and the subcontracts, as well as managing the engineering and construction quality, processes,www.ekurd.net costs and test operations for the construction of Duhok Airport.

The company said it would send around ten experts to Duhok to oversee the project.

There has never been an airport in the region, but the province is now planning to invest $200 million in a facility that can accommodate 500,000 mppa.

Lebanese-company Dar al-handersaht has recently finished the master planning and design for the gateway, and the selection of constructors is now underway.

Between February 2009 and March 2011, Incheon Airport was also the project manager at nearby Erbil International Airport.

C.W Lee, president of Incheon Airport, said: “This contract is highly meaningful in that it is our second big deal in the Middle East, following the case of the Erbil Airport management backup.

“Building on the leading brand power of Incheon Airport, we will clinch other similar deals down the road and further our reputation as an A-list airport company.”

Babllo tourist village

Initiated the establishment of this project at the beginning of 2009 , Babllo village is a tourist service project constructed on an area of more than (two million square meters) , for the purpose of ensuring means of rest and relaxation by means of entrainment such as casinos and playgrounds for children and to provide residences such as motels , furnished apartments , hotels, houses , small and large villas according to special requirements and desire. The project also includes a special pavilion for entertainment and recreation at the top of Babllo mount , which will contain a casino , and a restaurant can be reached by cable car and at an altitude of (300 meters) and approximate distance of (1200m).

^^ such a mad project mixed with nature , i hope more projects like these get built to boost tourism budget .

KRG can flow on 3 important budgets , oil , tourism and agriculture and it will have a strong economy in 10 years will swallow turkey's ecenomy .

Great place. I love Mehabad and it has a very special palce in my heart, but as an Yezidi Kurd when I'm going to live in Kurdistan I want to live in Dohuk (lots of Yezidis live there), near Lalish.

Hey man, I have a question:

Are you born as a Yezidi Kurd?
And are Yezidi Kurds nationalist Kurds? Did Yezidi Kurds for example fought against Saddam in the Peshmerga armies (PUK, KDP of another one?).
I have only met 1 Yezidi Kurd (probably more, but then without being aware of it), and he was talking with my father and I was a child, so don't remember much about it .

I know there are aprox. 1 million Yezidi Kurds and Yezidi is the original Kurdish religion. Is 'Zardasht' like the profet of the Yezidi's, of is he a profet of a different religion?

Yes, I was born as an Yezidi Kurd because both of my parents are Yezidi too. All my grand and great grandparents etc. are Yezidi. I was not born in Kurdistan but in the USSR.

Most Yezidis are hard-core Kurdish (PKK) nationalists, but some retard and jash Yezidis think they're different from the Kurds and that they are a separate Yezidi nation on their own.

As far as I know a lot Yezidis fought on the side of Saddam against Kurds, because Saddam promised the Yezidis to spare them. But most Yezidi Kurds outside South Kurdistan are pro-PKK, because PKK is an atheist movement and respect the Yezidis.

I don't know who the so called 'prophets' of the Yezidism are, maybe sheikh Adi (the last reformer) is the last one? I don't care about and don't believe in prophets, because according to me all mortals are corrupt. I do believe in GOD (Ezide Sor) as supreme being and creator of Kurdistan & Kurdish race and I respect/love Tause Melek and I do believe in KURDISTAN and that all I need. Also there's nothing special about being an Yezidi. It's the same as being a Kurd. We’re all cursed.
